@@BoredGuyWithACameraGreetings, which one did you change them for? WS2811 pixel waterproof strips. I'm new to this and I want to be my lightshow this year, God willing.
@JoseGonzalez-kc8sg I used amzn.to/3u16ir8 they worked out very well. The hardest part was drilling the holes in the pvc. Took a while, but the results were awesome. Here are some videos www.tiktok.com/@boredguywithacamera?_t=8jDqlqJ1GMl&_r=1
No problem, we are glad to help. I was is the same situation. Wondering why would I pay or build for so much when there has to be a cheaper way. Good luck to you and definitely let us know how you made out.
Very nice, I say every year i will add arches to my display but ever year i don't, I am surprised the lights glow inside of the PVC that well, thought most people with them used like the Plex tubing, cause thought it was more see through.. I have watched a couple of your videos now. very cool ideas. I use WLED and also a controller controlled light show at Christmas time, but yours seem to be able to do quite a bit also.
super cool, definitely trying this in the parts list you added the LED track, was this used in the arches? also the LEDs you had used the previous year with the controller, did they work well?
Sorry I'm getting back to you so late. My messages have been crazy fir the last month and I missed yours some how. I did not heat the pvc at any point. I just muscled them into place and it has worked for two seasons so far. I'm going in a different direction this year so keep me in mind come the holidays. Thank you for stopping by.
Maybe I’m missing something but the numbers don’t add up. 10 foot equals 120 inches and if you subtract 88 for the arch that leaves you a 32 inches. You said each bottom is 4‘6“ which converts to 54 inches thus you do not have enough material. The biggest you could make them using your 10 foot pole would be 66 inches.
I just tried this and it did not work. There is no way you can cut 4.5' forb the base, have 5.5' left for an arch and it bend into the arch. The arch would be 2' roughly off the ground. I'm using 200psi, everything from the list. Wondering also if these are glued into tees. It made almost a circle with those measurements (for me)
How many strips of LEDs did you use? What kind? 30 or 60 per meter? IP67? I think you need more like 8 10ft pvc pipes 5 for each arch, plus 3 more for the bottom pipes. Right?
Yes, the only lights I have facing out are on the garage because I used the corner track on those..TIP I used screws on most of the house, I used heavy duty tape on the garage and they have not moved since I installed them last year.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera OK. I'm going to do the same mounting at the bottom of the fascia board, using the tracks you listed. This solves my issue with the gutters interfering. Thank you.
I plan on trying this this weekend....I noticed that you have holes drilled in the pvc and the T connectors. What was the point here? Did you screw the joints together?
@@BoredGuyWithACamera I am definitely putting screws in them next year. They kept popping apart this year. In fact it broke the LED strip when it sprung apart. Also I still don't know how you got 5 arches out of the materials you listed. I only got 4 completed. But it looked good. Thank you for the response.
I've been looking to make these this year. Been looking at pex, and anchors. Never thought about putting lights inside. This is interesting. What did it cost for the wntire project roughly? I'm looking at somewhere around $100 for 15 arches. Thanks for the great ideas!
You didn’t show how to hook-up the electrical, you just said you did it. It may be easy but I’m thinking I’m not alone when I say I don’t know how to do it. Maybe you could do a video on hooking up the electrical, not just running the leds. It would be appreciated. Your display looks great by the way
Nice alternative to the fpp world
Appreciate the feedback , well get to that point in the future.
Yeah I ordered the btf and they are great brighter than the sparke ones I have
Yeah, I noticed a bit of a difference. I appreciate the feedback and support.
I'd like to see more about how you hooked up your arches to the light controller and what settings did you use? How many strings of lights, etc.
One set of lights. 50ft I just string them through from one end to the other on each section. I switched them up with pixels this year.

I was looking for an inexpensive alternative for diffusing LED strips, the 250 PSI PVC is a GREAT IDEA, THANK YOU and HAPPY HOLIDAY'S!!!

Great information thank you
Thank you for the support its greatly appreciated.
😀This is excellent you have done, also we appreciate your channel to use BTF-lighting's lights.
Thank you for the support.
Looks great, I enjoyed how you did this video.
Thank you, the support is greatly appreciated.
Awesome video on the leaping arches. Are you running xlights or vixen with music? Does that controller work with xlights or Vixen?
You should try using landscape pins, they look like giant staples and I bet they would work better for this.
Our clay in Tennessee does not hold anything very well. Appreciate the feedback.
This looks amazing, definitely going to try and incorporate this next year in our display!
Awesome, glad to help anyway I can. Definitely keep me posted on yours and how it works out for you.

We greatly appreciate the support. Thank you Very much. I was in the same boat wondering if there was another way to do arches.
loved it, im gonna start after new years doing all this, great video, keep them coming!!!
Thanks brother, I appreciate the feedback. Led mega tree coming soon.
super cool, definitely trying this
in the parts list you added the LED track, was this used in the arches? also the LEDs you had used the previous year with the controller, did they work well?
Sorry for getting back to you this late. No I used the track for the permanent lights on the house.
Very nice display and video. Did you need to inject power?
I dont have any power injection yet. The signal boosters have worked extremely well for me.

nice job. I smashed the liked button!
for some uv protection, as pvc is prone to degrading have you used a clear coat of spray paint ???
Nope, I'm going on 3 years with the same set up.
Also did you have to heat up the pipe to bend the curves??
Sorry I'm getting back to you so late. My messages have been crazy fir the last month and I missed yours some how. I did not heat the pvc at any point. Nice job, why not use longer strips? Look fwd to the finished product!
Thank you for stopping by. Last year when I did the original video I just used what I had laying around. So the same strips went in them this year.
I also found Alitove pixels to be very helpful
the LED's are bright enough to shine through the pvc pipes?
Yes, you just have to make sure you get thin wall PVC.

Oh your ok, one 88 inches in the middle , two 84 inches and 2 80 inches. Leaves to plenty to build 5 arches.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera show your math

Hi very good idea. Question you use more than 5 pipes 10 foot? Because how you cut with only 5 pipes?
Do the lights you have on your home have a bright white setting?
Yes, you can do bright white as well. Thank you for stopping by
Love the video. But would like to know what you used to put the pvc pieces together.
Thank you, I appreciate the support and feedback. O don't use anything to hold them together.
Hello, how thick is the PVC tube that you used as a diffuser? good video greetings from Argentina
The light shines through the PVC pipe?
Yes as long as its thin wall PVC.
Thank you so much for the tutorial!! Can't wait to try it!
We appreciate you. Definitely let us know how it goes for you.
Is there a video that shows the next steps for wiring the leds to light for someone that's never dealt with them before.
There is no wiring, most led strips are plug and play like this amzn.to/3UWSR3x it's all plug and play.
I was hoping to see you assemble lights
I just ran stripes lights through them from one end to the other. One section at a time.
How many strips of LEDs did you use? What kind? 30 or 60 per meter? IP67?
I think you need more like 8 10ft pvc pipes

Nice video btw 👍
Nice work. Subscribing to a fellow Tennessean decorator!
Thank you, the support is greatly appreciated.
So technically you need 10 pieces of pipe including the bases?
Is this the same as 3/4" 200psi white PVC?
Yes, 200 low pressure pvc.
Is the pvc on the ground 200 psi, or is it the more rigid stuff?
It all 200 psi pipe.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera Thanks!
Did you mount your LED tracks facing down on the bottom of your fascia boards?
Yes, the only lights I have facing out are on the garage because I used the corner track on those..TIP I used screws on most of the house, I used heavy duty tape on the garage and they have not moved since I installed them last year.

Yes, they screw together so they don't move and are easy to take apart for storage.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera I am definitely putting screws in them next year. They kept popping apart this year. In fact it broke the LED strip when it sprung apart. It was around 100 bucks a couple of years ago. Not sure how much the PVC is now. You can use any strip lights as long as they are ip65 and above.
Thank you very much, you did great!

Most LEDs are basically plug and play.. you literally just plug them into the controller simple as that.
Fantastic!
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback.
Nicely Done :)
Thanks for the visit
This is great :)
