they actually look like legit GW models, I often see conversions that look like the guy just drenched a torso in glue and threw in a bits bin and called it a day but you actually put some thought so the models look official, great stuff my guy
Really beautiful conversions- I’m very impressed! I do a lot of conversion work and kit bashing on my models- almost every model in my army is non-standard in some way, from small weapon or head swaps to fully scratch built models- usually some combination of both. Your work is incredible, and very creative- it’s really inspiring to see such well-done conversions. Your Tech Priest Dominus is probably my favorite in this video- I was never a fan of that head for the model, but you’ve incorporated it in a way that it goes perfectly with your conversion. The Tech Priest Dominus has been one of my all time favorite models anyway, and they are rich with possibilities for converting- I think the time may have come for me to get another one and see if I can turn him into something as incredible as yours. Thanks for the great video, and for the inspiration as well- keep up the amazing work, and you’ve just earned yourself another subscriber! I’m looking forward to seeing what you’re up to in the future-
Thank you for your praising words my friend. I could not agree more. I started playing Necrons back in the ninetees, but soon moved on to dark angels because the Necrons lacked a certain convertability if that makes sense. I loved Mechanicum when it first came out for 30k, and was more then delighted when admech appeared in 40k. Whenever I see models, even from others than GW, my first response is usually, hmmm, what else could I make it into. Keep your heads up, loads more coming soon! (Barry)
WarVisionGaming 40K You’re very welcome! I totally understand what you mean about the Necrons and their lack of convertibility- especially the simplest kits. I have only ever bought one Necron kit- the Immortals/Deathmarks- which I bought simply because I wanted to paint them (they look really cool)- but even then, I cut the blades off of their Gauss Blasters to make bayonets for bolt guns. I really like the Mechanicum, as well as the Adeptus Mechanicus- I don’t have many of them (yet) but I intend on getting some Forge World Mechanicum models as support for my 30K Raven Guard- and a few 40K AdMech to convert into something for them as well- maybe some Battle Automata. And I do the same thing as you, looking at other model companies for parts, but I do it everywhere else, too- the hardware store especially, but also just looking on the ground outside, looking through junk drawers, office supplies, etc- the world is full of bits if you are willing to be creative and do a little work! Just last night, I finished my kitbashed/converted 30K Librarian, since Forge World don’t make a 30K Legion Librarian- he came out pretty good, and tonight, I should be finishing my Vigilator conversion. I got really inspired to do that one since FW just brought out theirs. Anyway- I’ve bent your ear for long enough- enjoy your holidays, and I can’t wait to see what you’re up to next in the New Year!
I used to hate the look of kastelan robots. Now im going to add four of them to my army along with ordering some flexible resin ammo belts and alternative heads. Thanks for the great tips!
Wauwww. Those conversions are really epic. I've seen a lot of ideas for my Mechanicum army. Great stuff. Cheers Alexandra.
Thank you for the praise Alexandra, I always want my armies to be at their most dynamic. It is always good if we can inspire each other ^_^ (Barry D)
