Looks like a cork in a storm even on a calm day. Great interior design I agree. Big fan of Sundancer as an alternative but will need an upgrade if this is entry level now.
I have this 2022 boat.. First thing I did was take the 4 cylinder 200 Yamaha off and sell it. Only 40 mph at full throttle sucking up the fuel. I put a 200 Yamaha 200 SHO on it and because it is the same exact motor as the SHO 225 and the SHO 250.. except for the badging and the CPU tune. And cheaper....... I had NIZPRO come to my house from Tampa to tune the motor and now it hits 58 MPH with 332 hp.. and at backing it down to 40 cruising ...the fuel consumption is perfect. A Major pet peeve... This boat lacks storage PERIOD... and the console door... you better be a size 2 woman to fit thru it. . Love the ride although it has to be trimmed quite a bit. Dry boat. Bait well is great except after 1 1/2 years the bait pump company Sea Fox uses took a crap. I take a spare with me now. There is enough room under the deck for more fuel. 90 gal is sketchy. 120 would be perfect. Lack of bow rod holder is a minus from the factory. They said they don't offer that for the 228.. SO..I cut my own holes and added 2. I also put a 15 gallon fresh water tank inside the console. I added a Rhodan 36V 120 to the port bow and lithium battery by Monster in the console. Was easy install. Hold's this boat at a standstill even in the currents at the Skyway and Boca Grande Pass. Also added the charge on the fly charger for the Monster battery. Always at 80% and higher all day. Love this boat except for a few flaws like the under power and storage...
SeaFox worst customer service! Owned one with hull warranty claim . They kept my boat 5 months and would not return my phone calls. Check out other manufacturers, you'll be smart to buy elsewhere.
Spend your money elsewhere. That Seafox will be worth less than half in 6 years. Its one of the worst built brands. Fit and finish is subpar and the ride is back breaking.
Seafox should be renamed Roughrider. Horrible quality boat and one of the worst riding in the Industry. And those add-ons are just trying to mask the imperfections. Like putting lipstick on a pig. I’ve lost total respect for this page. I truly believe these boat companies are paying big bucks for this marketing channel.
Yeah.. if your in 3-4 ft and higher.. but under that.. mine is super dry and rides great except for the things I mentioned in a post here.. Doubt you have ever owned this Sea Fox.. or the bigger models. They have change quite a bit since my last Sea Fox from 2004. Fit an finish is just as good or better than any Mako..

Looking for some honest reviews, as I'm looking at a 2022 Sea Fox 228 Commander.
Would you advise to open the drain plug after fishing or leave it on all the time? Thanks
