Respect that you still continue, the frustration against you is there allready before the start. Grown men behaving like 3 year olds. Complaining...about everything even if its a clear foul.
Each player’s reaction to their cautions is ridiculous. They denied near enough everything 😂 Anthony is a real legend 😊 Demetri you have been the best referee in this league for the past two seasons.
I don't find that hard to believe, but I didn't think he was good. He was really the reason the game got out of control. He doesn't seen to understand that "Reckless" isn't "Careless" or at least the difference in his mind is subjective. His delay of game yellows were fussy and unnecessary, in particular the one for "Walking, when I told you to run". If he was going to give a red to the coach, for shouting at him, he should have given a warning to both coaches way earlier. His problems really started when he lets a small pull go, and then he yellow cards a similar small pull seconds later, because the "Victim" flings himself to the ground, and hams it up yelling for a free kick. I was a referee for years and he was pretty awful, but in Sunday League, that is what you get. They all think they are in the EPL (players as well) and most of them haven't played at any level. There are so many mistakes he made, such as carding someone for a deliberate tackle (as reckless), when he actually didn't stop him and missed. If it was for attempting to kick an opponent it should have been a straight red! As I said though Sunday League, no big thing. It is when the referees coach the kids like this that it worries me, because they end up with serious injuries because of it, and this game was no exception. With the grown men, you have a huge variety of skill levels, and you have to try an keep it sensible. You need to definitely differentiate the really reckless (excessive force) challenges, with the ones that are just slow, inept or clumsy.
This is brilliant! Bumpy pitch, players hoofing it, full on challenges, some players not in shape, pushing and shoving, headbutts...reminds me of watching football in the 60's and 70's
So I was the 4th official on this game, been waiting for this video to drop! Whoever the loudmouth fan is - I appreciate the passion but I still have nightmares about that loud shrill! 😂 It makes me realise that it’s all theatre, in the cold light of day. Shouting for everything, making in the heat statements. You reffed it extremely well - can see why you achieved Level 4 along with Anthony, and the far side referee will likely achieve it too if he achieves his potential. In other words the best officials in this league appropriate for the fixture. 💪🏽
Well done mate. You did a great job in keeping the 2 benches under control. Judging by the lack of discipline from the teams (which stems from the team officials), this is the kind of game which could end up abandoned if it wasn't for a 4th official.
Not surprised he drove you nuts. Could you not send him to the other side where the supporters were ? He clearly wasn't playing and the ref said he wasn't management.
The loudmouth was the bloke that came into view at the final whistle was it not God you could hear him on every decision. If they were the two best teams in that cup competition god only knows the standard of football is bad.
My Dad was a ref in the Tonbridge and District League. One particular match was very physical with both teams intent on kicking chunks out of each other. After many warnings and talking to both captains he blew his whistle and told them, "I'm booking the effing lot of you" and walked off.
As one of your early viewers of this challenge when you were starting out…you have grown so much in your game. Your positioning on the field, your willingness NOT to be the focus of the game, but to let the players play. Very nice to see the growth and looking forward to seeing your channel grow.
Fair play to you, we’re all guilty of shouting at refs when things don’t go our way (myself included) but this gives it another perspective. That Omonia team are a nasty piece of work
I've played, coached and been a ref, and one thing that I have learnt over the years, is that whenever a team lose, it's always the ref's fault. Far easier to point the finger at someone else, rather than look at what you could of done better yourself. It's also why a lot of these players and coaches will never make it as far as they could do with a better attitude and a bit less ego.
What a brilliant video. It's the first time I have ever seen anything like this and it helps me appreciate how difficult a ref's job is. With just a couple of exceptions, the Omonia team and its management are arrogant, nasty thugs but they will be too ignorant to appreciate that. I'm not surprised it's hard to recruit and keep good referees when you have to officiate teams like them. well done the ref and the assistant referees. .
love seeing a game from a refs view! definitely something different. Love how you also use it to better yourself on the pitch too! Keep up the good work!
We played Omonia at U16 level back in 2002 I think, in the Harrow youth league supp cup final. They had three sent off and we won 6-1. Doesn't look like much has changed there. They say football is a beautiful game, but only if it's played with skill by sportsmen.
As a referee myself, fantastic officiating 👏🏻 I personally probably would’ve sent a few more players off from each team. That is down to the man in the middle I think. Really interesting to see the game from this perspective, something I had never thought about doing myself. Keep reffing as you do and I’m sure we’ll see you up the divisions in no time! 👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing officiating by yourself, the linesmen and the 4th official! Pure class regardless of the situation and the stuck to the letter with every challenge and caution. Pure class!
Very tough game to referee so well done. As a ref myself usually if theres that amount of dissent flying around that early I'd be over to the coaches warning them that further misconduct would result in further sanctions, and of course issue those sanctions when it happens again. Dissent is something we desperately need to stamp down on. it's shocking the amount of teams that get away with murder every week
hey mate im a youth coach from up in manchester just wanted to say your videos are brill. Watched all of them in the last couple weeks its so interesting to hear the perspective from the ref no matter what the level is. Best of luck with everything in the future 🤞
My goodness, and I have 100% respect for you. You sense that they wished they didn't have to play with a ref' ... but can you imagine how the game would have played out if that where the case!!! Keep up the very good work and for calling out the stupid, pathetic, childish but also very dangerous behaviour of some players/club officials
I started watching your content recently and I have to say I really enjoy it. This clearly wasn't an easy game to officiate but I think you have done very well mate - I agree with your decisions all of your KMIs which I think is most important. It also go shows why you were promoted to Level 4 so well done once again.
Unbelieveable this. The constant giving it back to them tops it too. Great refereeing performance by your team, it's nice to see your perspective of the game and it's even better that we can see what you actually have to put up with while trying to make the correct decisions.
I used to play in the Barnet Sunday league back in the early 80’s and there were several sides like Omonia back then. Games you used to dread playing because it was all about confrontation, threats, piss poor sportsmanship, and little to do with playing football. One of our youth team games was abandoned when an opposition coach came onto the field and assaulted a 13 year old player😳. Playing for our adult side I saw a ref get punched in the car park after the game, and one of my team had a knife pulled on him by one of the opposition after the game. Without doubt the worst behaved clubs back then were based along ethnic lines of shall we say ‘Mediterranean extraction’😬 I recall a bad tempered game with an incompetent older ref, when he finally decided to book an opposing player the guy knocked his cards and pencil out of his hands and stamped them into the mud (some of those pitches back then were pretty tragic). The ref was on his hands and knees in the mud trying to find his cards and pencil, meanwhile there’s a 20 player scuffle going on behind him🙈 The ref eventually found his muddy property, and just left the field in tears - game over with no ref🤷♂️ I felt sorry for him but TBH he completely lost control of the game from the start and just wasn’t up to the job. Good to see not much has changed since then🙄🙈 but it looks like the standard of refereeing has improved somewhat
As a fellow ref, this is an excellent insight into how reffing Sunday football can be so difficult. Good to see Potters Bar FC again (played 1, scored 3 against PBTFC back in the day 😁) though the pitch didn't help either side. As with a number of other commentators, I felt you reffed the game well and when you explain the footballing reasons behind your decisions (or admit your mistakes), this is a great and educational video. However, quite a bit of the dialogue about either team is simply unnecessary - it's pretty clear that your mate plays for Trent Park (nothing wrong with that) and that you have a bit of both beef and history with Omonia Youth (I guess nothing wrong with that either) but highlighting them consistently in the audio does to a certain extent belittle what is otherwise a good performance from yourself and the other three officials. You're clearly a competent referee and to a certain degree, I like how you've come on here to show folks how it really is - it's one of the things that missing at the top three levels, having referees account for their decision making more publicly. But I hope we won't ever see referees come out, slag off managers/coaches (however much they feel it might be justified) and engage in comment banter on RUclips with one team or another at those top levels - no idea if you're aspiring to reach that high but, IMHO, you're probably better than the bants so maybe just keep the explanations purely football? Saying all that, thanks again for the video!
Came here to agree with this. Great explanations of your decisions, and there's obviously no bias when it comes to decision-making on the pitch, but with the commentary about the losing team you really are opening yourself up to accusations of being biased. This Omonia team seem to be a nasty bunch, but your comments in this video are just going to rile them up and make them more antagonistic next time you ref them.
I agree with your comments. Prior to the game I had no problem with Omonia at all. I had them on the channel previously and their manager/ some players didn’t like the video but it’s not for everyone. I definitely shouldn’t have sunk down to their level though and yeah I will be just focusing on the football from now on 😂
Not sure how I found this video but it was a great watch. I'm no ref but your conduct during the game seemed commendable. As far as the public shaming, this is a training video. I have no problem with you highlighting bad behavior and what you have to put up with. After the fact, it shows exactly how difficult your job is and exactly how terrible some of these sideline idiots are. This is exactly needed to change behavior and make the environment suitable for everyone. Especially with all the kids in the stands watching these idiots model such behavior. Thank you.
@@RefsWorld I agree with the other poster that disrespecting the team Omonia was unnecessary. It was pretty evident with how they reacted how they should be viewed, and not in a good way. Also a shame that there was a loudmouthed idiot who constantly screamed rubbish about you as the ref for almost the whole game despite having little clue about the LOTG himself. You all did well on the day. I am a Youth(Not in age but the players I ref!) Ref in the North West myself and the abuse is grating. I see the 'Postman and the Dog Complex' with refereeing nowadays and largely fuelled by the media. We are just baited from start to finish regardless of how we referee the actual game and nothing will change that. The stuff about favouring non entity teams in grassroots football is hilarious given as there is absolutely nothing for us to gain from it other than being paid our match fee.
Recently started watching this channel and so far it's been superb. Very honest in your commentary/ analysis of your performances. Played amateur/ semi'ish Pro for about 20 years and there wasn't many referees up to your standard. I despise players hating on and verbally abusing referees. I got sick of explaining to people who were always complaining/abusing the ref, that without the referee there wouldn't be any competitive football !
Really good refereeing there! I'm honestly surprised that you managed to keep your cool for almost 100 minutes of football, I would've lost it if the subs and fans were screaming in my ears for every foul. I also liked that you showed the classes of foul play, like "C1 - aggressive behaviour" and stuff, made the decisions more clear. Overall a thumbs up from me. Also those Omonia fans and bench were really toxic, didn't like their reactions at all.
The screaming from the crowd.... relentless! My daughters just started referreeing at 14, its an eye opener for sure! Thankless task! Great job by the way, lots to watch and learn through your videos! 😊
This was a really interesting watch. I liked you were open about your mistakes but also analytical about your choices you felt were correct. Watched start to end, great content! Please keep going! If you get a chance invest in a better mic for narration, but I thoroughly enjoyed this.
Well done sir, to cope with all that deserves high praise. A lot of male supporters think that abuse and foul language is part of the 'banter' of football and that it is OK, ridiculous on their part.
I’m sure this wasn’t meant to be funny. But your level 10 sarcastic trolling literally had in me tears watching this. I really need to get back to watching my local non league sides again. It’s a great spectacle
You're cold, well done I would say, I have a hard time if I'm being insulted by people, I try to ignore it but if it's in my face. I just wanna give them a card. I learn a lot from your video's, thanks ! Great work !
i have just found ur channel mate and i have subscribed and look forward to following your ref journey past and present, also well done in this game as you were absolutely fair and for them to say u backed ur best mates team etc is just them being bad losers and just looking for anything to cause trouble etc as you said the only thing u got wrong was giving the corner that led to the goal but people dont realise how hard being a referee is and how much pressure u are under to get things right and fair and takes a lot of balls to be a referee so again well done mate
This just randomly appeared on my You Tube suggestions and was a good watch. You guys did a great job, clearly you're well skilled at running a creche with all that whinging from grown men. Bravo to you and your team.
this is great football , and the 3 officials were outstanding , omonia were a physical team for sure , but trent park were no shrinking violets either . i hope they were gracious after the match and shook hands , wouldnt mind watching them play again ;)
Well done mate. Brilliant performance with such a tough crowd and set of benches, RIP for the 4th on the day, must have been miserable. Things like this happen every week and people wonder why there's a lack of referees in this country. Keep going, don't let them get you down. I didn't want to comment this because there's 69 comments right now :>
That was brilliant to watch. So many people complain about referees never explaining decisions after the game or being held accountable and they are bound to be the same ones shouting “RUclips!” over and over again here. Refs are expected to be perfect all the time and get nothing wrong. Moaners who have never picked up a whistle to ref a game in their life have zero idea how difficult it is. Excellent performance given how difficult the game was and the corner decision for the Om goal was one that was so difficult to see. Wonder when these smart managers, coaches and players will realise that constantly moaning and complaining and saying the ref hates them, will realise that doesn’t help them at all? 🤔🤫
14:44 - Agree that this is a YC. The raised knee is reckless, but fortunately the contact is at an angle where his whole hip bends to mitigate the contact. 16:15 - Agree with just a DFK. 20:15 - It looks clean from this angle and I suspect it is, but a better look that shows what the other leg is doing would be helpful. I suspect the attacker's left knee was bleeding from a previous incident. 20:49 - Without the benefit of retrospect, don't think there's a wide enough position that's reasonable for you to take which lets you see this. But maybe have a look at your AR first to see if they have something for you if you know you've been shielded out. 25:23 - In a vacuum, this is serious foul play. But I think you did well finding a way to go with a YC given that it's only *just* SFP and this is a cup final. 26:18 and 26:56 - Clear YCs for a reckless tackles. 28:12 - Out of context, I don't like this YC for persistent offences. This is only his third over the whole match, which is now in the 75th minute. And his fouls were, by your own admission, fairly soft. I'd try to just publicly warn him if he's been otherwise cooperative. But maybe there's context not shown in the video that makes it worthwhile to give? 29:58 - Agree with just a YC for this tackle. 30:23 - Clear careless foul (but it always sounds worse when shinguards come together!). 31:03 - I don't think there's a YC here unto itself. But this player has been the biggest source of match issues for you from that team. Also, he's committed much harder fouls (and more of them) than the player you cautioned for persistent offences. I would like a final warning here. 31:32 - Good YC for delaying the restart. 32:35 - I know what you're thinking blowing up right away for this YC, and it's not wrong. But with only 3 added minutes left to play I think the aggrieved team will be focused enough on playing for you to give advantage without causing a match control issue. 35:27 - If you were sure this is non-negligible contact to the head, this is violent conduct and a straight RC. That's what I see in the video. 36:47 - Definitely a RC for serious foul play, and I understand missing the headbutt in real time. But, at least you recognize what ought to have happened. Overall really well done; I would be happy to turn in that performance myself. Congratulations!
I just want to say thank you. Nearly every video you take the time to timestamp certain incidents and always give me feedback in the right way. I always read through your comments and take on board what you’ve suggested. It only helps me as a referee 👏
I agree with you in every case except for the persistent offender; I think the ref had it bang on and showed good restraint not showing the card earlier. Obviously context matters as you say.
@@RefsWorld It's a lot harder in real time than watching video. The last game I refereed was about like this and then it turned into a brawl. I blew the whistle and ended the game. They all turned and said why, and each team gave me a number of a player to eject. I said no and left and never went on to a pitch again. You are a brave man and a great ref!
First time I've come across this channel...what a great way of showing the life of a referee...more power to you. As ever I would point out the loudest voices come from those who would be too frightened to actually take up refereeing. Thank you for all your efforts in keeping this great game alive.
Terrific video as always, mate. I don't quite fancy some of the dialogue toward Omonia but it sounds like the relationship cuts deep. 😬 As for foul recognition and calls shown... You seem to be spot on with what you're seeing and correcting after the fact. The CK resulting in a next play G for Omonia is one of those spots where you have to go with what you've got. Appreciate your chat about the angle you took being the opportunity to work on. Thanks for everything you share - keep it up!
Man, that was a tough game to ref and I love the channel. When you have guys more interested in yelling than playing football, might as well just forget about playing advantages. I think the 18th minute foul by #20 Green would've been a good time for a first caution, if not for the foul itself than for the chaos that the foul could cause later on in the match.
There’s quite a few. Where is it? Only in response to what you were mouthing off but you left that bit out. It was either that or send another Omonia player off for their comments after the match. Your behavior is further proving my point. Say what you want though about the match, no problem but just be careful of what you say in terms of names. Honestly don’t want you getting banned for the start of the new season
@@RefsWorld banned for what 😂😂😂 having an opinion on a RUclips video you have posted. I would be unhappy after you mocked me for losing a final after constant bias throughout the season when you reffed our games.
fascinating stuff as someone who many many years ago played bottom division of a Leeds sunday morning league (at a time when 1st division teams were still allowed to kick chunks out of each other and Norman was still biting legs) . Of course we didnt get the luxury of linesmen and sometimes didnt get a referee,. It was good fun ... Anyway, well reffed Consistent and fair which is all we expect refs to be. But interesting to hear the narrative and justifications for the decisions
This channel came up in my wall and i'm glad it did. Subbed now and i must say well reffed. Bad teams will always blame everyone but themselves. Keep up the good work.
@@tonyponnou1442well if you accept most of the players, many in the crowd, and all the coaches were a disgrace - that makes the referee absolutely courageous to see this one through.
First time I’ve come across your videos, you reffed this perfectly, shame you have to deal with the negatives of the game, you’ve gained a new sub tho, keep up the good work!
Well done! I have the utmost respect for anyone prepared to referee at any level. I wonder how many of those mard arse players would be prepared to ref a game.
fair play to you and your team cracking job best team out there, and a hard game to ref. As a ref myself, I loved the commentary It is about time some teams are held accountable for their actions. I have had quite a few of these types of games always get the big local derbys as the league know I won't take any crap from players. love a bit of banter with players personally I would of had No:20 on the 2nd one. otherwise great video and again well refereed.
Having had you ref me many times this season and last, i can honestly say you're one of the best in the league (along with Anthony) it's a shame to see Omonia act in this way as when we played them in the cup they were very humble and a nice bunch in their loss... I do feel during this video the little comments you gave were uncalled for but so are all the comments about your channel during the match.
Got to agree with this, it is very tasteless of you to constant mention the team/manager/what they have won/how they play. I think you reffed it well, except I think you ,issued a foul on the 6 when he went up and was caught late.
@pommeinzennor I’m not disagreeing with you but they had an opinion on my refereeing, I have my opinion on their style of play on the day. Both opinions were made clear in the video. Thank you
@@RefsWorld yes fine have an opinion but don’t make it public. In my opinion it’s not a good thing for an official to be doing and will only feed the fire of their opinion.
Most of us who watch football would love to hear the refs points of veiw on things etc and the losing teams and fans are so quick to blame the ref when things don't.go their way I think it's refreshing hearing you have a pop back after all what's good for the goose is good for the gander 👌
Not sure it's wise for a referee to be doing videos like this but the decisions during the game looked as near to perfect as is possible. One or two shocking challenges from both teams.
First video of yours ive watched. Brilliant explanations and refereeing overall. Makes me feel like a mug for all the abuse ive giveb refs over the years as a player 😂 keep up the good work 💪
Fair play Ref! 1st watch after finding your channel - really great view and commentary. Good to have you involved in the beautiful game.... keep up the good work my friend! 👊
I thought u was excellent and spot on with every decision looked a hard game to Ref well done I was a Ref for 20+ years at lower leagues kids adults teams
Really interesting video , particularly the level of interaction the ref has with the players , a lot of whom behaved like silly wee boys. As the ref said if more of them concentrated on their performance and tactics they would be better players/s , instead a lot of them focused on being plastic hardmen 😂😂
A great video first of all. I`ve been there myself as a former referee it`s very anoying when you get people that are not involved in the game barking none stop what decision should be when they have no idea at all. The missed Red card by Omonia no 5 i can understand. remember you only get a few seconds to make a decision. You did a great job in my eyes.
Good video mate, deffo your hardest shift in the office with the amount of agro and gobby reactions. Side note- imo as someone that used to film and edit sunday league games keep the audio running when you play the replay backs, works better for authenticity and fluidity of the vid
The hardest job in football. Keep up the good work. I have played football all my life and unfortunately tackles like at 36min is why I had to stop. Would love to be playing VETS still but even in that there's still so many losers trying to take you out.
Just in support of your decision to allow the second goal, I don't see how it could be offside. The player was onside when the free kick was taken and in following up the Trent player collected the ball off an Omonia player who blocked the shot. If the defending team was the last team to touch the ball when the attacking team was onside, any play that follows from that is not offside. Further, the play was a direct shot on goal clearly with no Trent player interfering with the ball or keeper. Not offside from my point of view.
As a badminton referee, where I only have to deal with a maximum of 4 players and 4 coaches, I have to say that I am shocked to see and hear the level of abuse and insults that you and your linesmen received in this match, and the pressure that the players, benches and spectators put upon you. (I only hope this isn't representative of all matches at this level). I am impressed at the way your conducted yourself, and at how you maintained calm in the face of everything that was happening around you.
Hey mate, great refereeing from you as per usual. Have to say, I've seen worse behaved clubs than Omonia (lord, I've played for worst behaved ones). I enjoyed the banter, but maybe not the best thing for a ref in the league to be doing. Regardless, always love your videos.
Back when I reffed and players/officials complained about decisions, I pointed out that if I wasn't having to constantly manage their poor behaviour, I might have a bit more capacity to focus on making better decisions. Grown men behaving that way is just utterly embarrassing.
Never seen your channel before. Really enjoyed this. And it was great to hear a few saying he got something wrong. I thought you handled the game well. Just a bit too lenient in the first half.
Well done, other than the headbutt you got every call spot on. Omonia coaches are a disgrace, that's where it all comes from, from the coaches down to the players
Oh my god - this is exactly why there is such a crisis with people not wanting to take up Refereeing. Im in my late 50's and had the misfortune to be involved in games like this and it makes you want to pack up. To be honest I actively avoid making myself available for these games cause I simply don't need the grief. The conduct of Omonia team from Coach down was embarrassing - to be fair Trent Park had their moments too. Can only hope that they will look back on this over time and feel ashamed. Did the Coaches give their players any direction of encouragement during the game or di they spend all their time baiting you?? Only thing I would question is why you allowed so many bodies on the benches? There were too many non team personnel IMO which just added to the circus. Congrats on getting thru the game - whatever you were paid wasnt enough....hat tipped sir
I can understand why referee’s quit because of things like this. Trent Parks bench weren’t angels but the way the way they conducted themselves before and after the game and their players is miles above Omonia. I have no idea what their coaches did. I had a fourth official to deal with that but it’s actually quite hard managing benches with the amount of people for a Sunday League game
Just out of curiosity, do your comments in any of your videos ever draw feedback from the FA for example? Nothing you've said can be argued having watched the video, just wondered if that might be the case.
tough match and a job well done!! I would love to hear more of your thoughts on the penalty shout at 20:13. I agree that the defender got the ball with his right foot, but I was wondering your thoughts on his left foot (studs possibly) which appears to make contact with the attacker's right boot. Not a criticism at all, just was curious as to your thoughts. Thanks for posting!
Without VAR, I think you coped very well. Everyone makes mistakes and you are brave enough to own up to them. I have to admit, Trent Park were probably as guilty as the other side. Both sides committed stupid and wreckless challenges. The problem is that the management for Omonia have no discipline and so you can't expect their players to. The constant wingeing must have been tiring. The idea that bleating at the ref all game will help you is as gormless as it gets. As for the language..... they were behaving like little kids who had just found a new swear word, it's pathetic. Keep up the good work.
Well done to referee and linesmen. Such a thankless job and everyone on the touchline thinks they know better. Respect to the referee's and linesmen
Respect to the REF and AR's, it's not rugby!
Respect that you still continue, the frustration against you is there allready before the start. Grown men behaving like 3 year olds. Complaining...about everything even if its a clear foul.
MoTD wannabees - quite sad really .
Yea, as a USSF referee I take a lot of criticism but never this much.

Its typical sunday football

Well done mate. You did a great job in keeping the 2 benches under control. Judging by the lack of discipline from the teams (which stems from the team officials), this is the kind of game which could end up abandoned if it wasn't for a 4th official.
Not surprised he drove you nuts. Could you not send him to the other side where the supporters were ? He clearly wasn't playing and the ref said he wasn't management.
@dominicbrownlie2578 Nothing we can do as he’s not in the dugout
The fella is on the list for Gender reassignment
The loudmouth was the bloke that came into view at the final whistle was it not
God you could hear him on every decision.
Oh dear, definitely NOT referee material then!
As one of your early viewers of this challenge when you were starting out…you have grown so much in your game. Your positioning on the field, your willingness NOT to be the focus of the game, but to let the players play. Very nice to see the growth and looking forward to seeing your channel grow.
Thank you mate
well done, horrible crowd and bench to have to deal with
also love the constant shots fired at omonia 😭
They're embarrassing! God only knows how they reached a final! Probably moaned their way there!
Very good refereeing for a busy game and not letting either side get in his head.
Being a referee is a tough, and dangerous job. It's interesting to see a game from a ref's POV.
Not exactly a gopro
Both sidelines were a disgrace , grown arse men behaving like that .. I’m cringing for them 🤦♂️
What a brilliant video.
100%, no class shown by the team in green whatsoever, the two well-behaved players should move onto somewhere that's worth their level of class.
I would like to thank RUclips's algorithm for recommending me this channel. It seems a great first video to watch!
Thank you for watching mate. Not the easiest job but just trying to shine light on what referee’s go through 👍🏽
Great job, handled the game pretty well! Omonia is the definition of a sore loser. Don't let them bother you. Keep it up!
Some great refereeing and really enjoyed your commentary throughout.
Reffing, especially in the amateur and junior men’s leagues, aren’t a joke. Fair play, mate.
I started watching your content recently and I have to say I really enjoy it.
This clearly wasn't an easy game to officiate but I think you have done very well mate - I agree with your decisions all of your KMIs which I think is most important. It also go shows why you were promoted to Level 4 so well done once again.
Very tough game! Thank you
Unbelieveable this.
Do the clowns in the crowd realise that a ref is the most critical part of any football game.
No ref, no game
35:15 oh that’s cold, love it
Well done sir, to cope with all that deserves high praise. A lot of male supporters think that abuse and foul language is part of the 'banter' of football and that it is OK, ridiculous on their part.
Funny and Entertaining.
Reminds me of the good old days 😂❤
Well done Ref, great job! Big up for putting up with and dealing with a load of childish men who should know better.
this is great football , and the 3 officials were outstanding , omonia were a physical team for sure , but trent park were no shrinking violets either . i hope they were gracious after the match and shook hands , wouldnt mind watching them play again ;)
Well done mate. Brilliant performance with such a tough crowd and set of benches, RIP for the 4th on the day, must have been miserable. Things like this happen every week and people wonder why there's a lack of referees in this country. Keep going, don't let them get you down.
I didn't want to comment this because there's 69 comments right now :>
Well done, you did an excellent job on what was a difficult match to referee!
Well refed that . After seeing some of the crap in the EFL ITS REFRESHING TO SEE A REF ACTUALLY GET MOST THINGS RIGHT
Terrific video as always, mate.
Someone give the coach water his voice is cooked
Beautifully narrated and excellent refereeing.
I agree! I should’ve booked one of their players in the first half but “I favoured Trent Park” according to them
@@RefsWorld why u not replying to my comment about how you took the piss out of me after the final whistle for losing both finals. Classless ref imo😔
@@RefsWorld also your a 🤡 if you think just cos you done one thing in our favour that means you don’t have an agenda against us😂
There’s quite a few.
As a referee myself, really good to see the game and outcome. 👍
New viewer to the channel; you did a great job, and I don't get how anyone could complain when you show the ultimate accountability by filming it all!
Great commentary and explanations made this video well worth watching
Fantastic performance I thought! But am I glad I esigned from reffing...I do not miss that BS! Keep up the excellent work!
fascinating stuff as someone who many many years ago played bottom division of a Leeds sunday morning league (at a time when 1st division teams were still allowed to kick chunks out of each other and Norman was still biting legs) .
Thank you Trevor
thanks for insight into decision making - youve got a new subscriber
Stumbled across this. Great video and shows what football is. Perfect refereeing
As an ex-referee, my opinion is that you refereed a difficult game very well.
These players, coaches and managers are an embarrassment, in every conceivable way. But mostly to themselves.
but the ref wasnt?
@@tonyponnou1442well if you accept most of the players, many in the crowd, and all the coaches were a disgrace - that makes the referee absolutely courageous to see this one through.
@@roberthope6869100%, the ref is analysing any mistakes, also admitting to them on a public forum. Some of those players were just an embarrassment 😂
As a ref myself, I loved the commentary
It is about time some teams are held accountable for their actions.
Appreciate you as always bro 👊🏾
They should be called Ammonia.
This was a good interesting video- good going ref 🫱🏻🫲🏼🕶
Really interesting video , particularly the level of interaction the ref has with the players , a lot of whom behaved like silly wee boys. As the ref said if more of them concentrated on their performance and tactics they would be better players/s , instead a lot of them focused on being plastic hardmen 😂😂
I thought u was spot on with ur decisions 1st half
A great video first of all. I`ve been there myself as a former referee it`s very anoying when you get people that are not involved in the game barking none stop what decision should be when they have no idea at all. The missed Red card by Omonia no 5 i can understand. remember you only get a few seconds to make a decision. You did a great job in my eyes.
Its important people play well.
Players are getting some good exposure through your channel,
Good video mate, deffo your hardest shift in the office with the amount of agro and gobby reactions.
Side note- imo as someone that used to film and edit sunday league games keep the audio running when you play the replay backs, works better for authenticity and fluidity of the vid
Definitely the hardest game to ref.
Thanks for the advice, i’ll make sure to do it like that from now on
Supporters playing the ref more then watching the game. I wouldn't do what you do for $. How you stay that cool, I'll never know. More power to you.
I’ve been reffing for a year or two now and it’s teams like this that make me wonder why I bother. Keep putting the good work in mate
grow a pair
It's hilarious how people do something ridiculously stupid on a football pitch and then wonder why the referee is booking them or sending them off.
I have this exact thought every time I see someone absolutely having no clue about why they are being booked
I hope you reported the "benches" to relevant county FAs, they would throwcthe book at them with thix evidence.anyone cotrolling the benches
Really really good. You and your team handled everything well. Shame there wasn’t an observer!
The hardest job in football. Keep up the good work. I have played football all my life and unfortunately tackles like at 36min is why I had to stop. Would love to be playing VETS still but even in that there's still so many losers trying to take you out.
First Challenge defo booking
Just in support of your decision to allow the second goal, I don't see how it could be offside. The player was onside when the free kick was taken and in following up the Trent player collected the ball off an Omonia player who blocked the shot. If the defending team was the last team to touch the ball when the attacking team was onside, any play that follows from that is not offside. Further, the play was a direct shot on goal clearly with no Trent player interfering with the ball or keeper. Not offside from my point of view.
Watching these teams. makes me glad I gave up reffing 40 years ago.
That was interesting to watch 😅, very rough game though.
Well done, almost perfect.
Hey mate, great refereeing from you as per usual. Have to say, I've seen worse behaved clubs than Omonia (lord, I've played for worst behaved ones). I enjoyed the banter, but maybe not the best thing for a ref in the league to be doing. Regardless, always love your videos.
Omonia has always been a nasty team. I remember playing them as a kid and parents/players were always aggressive.
Not in any of my other videos but this one, yes
tough match and a job well done!!
Mate love the videos. Just come across the channel
The publics the ones that ruin the game. Keep it up thank you
Without VAR, I think you coped very well.
