Once again a great video from Team Brotomotive. The content was not only solid but was equally supported by details, just like your cars. The comparative paint thickness was definitely an eye opener. I tried to go through TATA Safari's user manual and did not find any information on warranty coverage on paint. I feel there should be a threshold or a use case much like the one you have highlighted. One question did pop up in my head is that, since the owner has taken the delivery only a week ago, would it make sense to have the car sent back to the manufacturer as the car is in new born condition. Common folks like myself do not have the trained eye for paint job fiascos. Having the car inspected from experts such as yourself post taking delivery, and reporting later within a certain period of time; should be something end user can do. You guys are the best out there and I really hope to see more BROTOMOTIVE branches all over India.
Hats off to the Brotomotive team and the owners to show the courage to come up with such genuine review against a gigantic motor manufacturers.....love you guys ❤️for the efforts you put in to bring in the essential information a motor vehicle owner needs.... Recently got a santro for my father. And after 2-3 days of delivery, while cleaning I noticed that the paint quality on the hood/bonnet felt very rough. However the paint finish on body side outer, doors, fender and back door was as it should be on a new car. I gave it a thorough body wash, and then tried wax coating. But still it feels so rough as if there is dust or clear coat hasn't been applied properly. Couldn't digest how it could be until came across your video today. Thanks for the detailed explanation and bringing up the issue. Appreciate all the points mentioned and the extra effort you took, really evident from the outcome. The details that was explained in this video, reminded me of my days while giving service at tata plant on behalf of Asian paints. These defects were present then as well. Only thing is common ppl don't have the knowledge & eye to lookout for them. As production of any model in any company increases so does the defects, simple reason, less time & effort is given to quality. Nos become priority compared to anything else. Tata also does paint job for some merc models as well. So same plant but different results. The baking & curing process of any paint requires a certain minimum time, but due to production load companies hasten the process resulting in craters, especially pinholes. What to say, zyada Paisa kamane hai jald se jald. Good to see someone talking abt it, kudos bromotive, keep up the good job.
@@AdityaPandey-mn9tg They outsource it for cost & convience reasons. Mostly it's for repainting reasons. Eg: car get damaged in accident, cust claims ins or not maybe, but wants OEM finish. Great Work Brotomotiv👏👏. Tata Motors should pay close attention to the fit and finish and color quality of their vehicles. Tata is undoubtedly doing a very good job in India, but even in these small things, Tata Motors needs a little attention.I am a big fan of Tata Motors but I also think if Tata pays a little more attention to these things then we will get a better product. And Brotomotiv team hat's off for your work.In this way you are really benefiting the customers by saying what is good for them without looking at the business attitude. Love you Brotomotiv team 🔥💖💖
Hi !!! Where are you guys located ? I completely agree with your observations. I bought the Safari XZA in June 2021 and was completely devastated with the quality and the condition that I got my vehicle in. There were dents, scratches on the metal panels, a huge gash on the headlight, a screw jutting out of a rear light fixture and many many more screwup’s. Took almost 5 months to get only some of the defects rectified. I still cannot believe that a company like the Tata’s can deliver such a substandard product and the way I was treated as a customer. I honestly wanted to drag them to court but it’s only because of the hassles involved that I stopped short. It’s so sad that a beautiful vehicle as this has been tarnished with ridiculous levels of quality and after sales service.
I personally feel that slight orange peel is actually beneficial in a dusty country like India. If orange peel reduces the shine, at the same time it will make swirl marks less visible. In theory, orange peel will also reduce the creation of swirl marks due to uneven surface. Removing orange peel completely, within a few months the swirl marks will be a sore to watch. And even more reflective.
Swirl mark depends on how and with what materials the car is cleaned .. I use microfiber cloth and duster and swirl marks cam only after 2 yrs of my repaint and detailing.
I'm a car enthusiasts and after watching your video, I'm so much influenced that Sometimes I thought even about working at your shop and learn all about the paint stuff. Please let me know if it is possible to join you even as a trainee or intern. Love your buddy Raghav and Achintya
BROTOMOTIV and Team👍 You guys are doing great Job, Well done, On the same time Manufacturers should think about this, People are buying vehicles with their hard earned money. Hats off to BROTOMOTIV✌️
With Tata, first batch is always the worst! When the Harrier V1 was launched we know the issues V2 was better still not good and Safari V1 essentially a Harrier V3 still has issues. So with Tata never go with the first batch cars. And Tata is producing 35-40k units a month they have absolutely nothing in terms of QC. One can always say it’s an Indian brand but QC is always important, Indian or foreign brand manufacturing in India doesn’t matter.
Same goes for mahindra. Mahindra always had issues with its first batch. So far the xuv700 is the only vehicle i seen from mahindra with no such issue. I hope the same for upcoming cars!!
@@JaspreetSingh-hf3rz XUV700 also has issues that are currently being resolved; battery draining, for some drive modes not working, touchscreen going blank and a few more here and there

When I purchased my Indigo back in 2005, it spent the first THREE DAYS of its life back at the dealers, to rectify various defects which included paint problems, a skewed bonnet and rattling behind the dashboard. Our dealers were excellent and I give them full marks for their outstanding support and patience as they sorted out one problem after another. I had a great feeling of national pride to support TATA Motors, but ultimately, that did not save me from my personal loss. My TATA cars had average resale value despite keeping them in excellent condition. For TATA Motors I say this - I have wasted about Rs.15 lakhs of my hard-earned money buying your products, all of which had major issues and I will never touch your products again.
Hi BrotoMotiv Team... Your point is Genuine. Love the content. Please make upcoming videos on what pre checks one should do for a first time owner while selecting car or taking delivery
Back in 2014 I had Hyundai Elantra (Korean import) in UAE 🇦🇪 and copying me my best friend bought same car model in India (Chennai assembled) was vast different in quality... literally wiring, welding and everything was visible in the car... this gave me sense cost is always at par in India compared or quality... same goes with 6 airbags vs 2 airbags in same variant in india and foreign.
If I'm not wrong, this is the second time TATA Harrier paint issue has been shown on this channel. Not only paint, I've also noticed finishing issues with their welding on the boot door as well on Harrier and Nexon.
Hats off to the owner for opting for such big step and playing with the paint-job. I am sure.. this is the belief that #Brotomotiv team has managed to create inside people's heart.. Kudos to the Brotomotiv team for over exceeding and achieving the results as always..
Bro in India 99.9℅ mein scratches hote hain fir bhi log araam se gaadi chalate hain... aap sirf pinhole ke chakkar mein pade ho... apne desh mein abhi aishi situation nahi hai ki ham log bina kisi scratch ya dent ke gaadi chala paaye... nirjeev chizo se itna bhi lagaav theek nahi hai... ham logo gaadi lete hain travel ke liye isase jyada kuch nahi hai... detailers ap sabki inhi baato ki wajah se iska faayda uthaane ke liye ppf, ceramic,... falaana dhamaka,,, baba g ki ghanta leke aate rahte hain.... Company ka painting kaafi achhi hoti hai aur agar apki car daily sunlight mein na pade toh paint 6 saal mein bhi na fade hoga... ye farzi ki Tattebazi hai... dark and metallic colours par pinhole jaisi problem aa he jaati hai.... premium cars mein isse neglect kiya jaata hai kyuki issi liye toh woh premium hain... main yaha tak dekha hai ki cars ko ready hone ke baad manually sunlight mein rakhkar cheak karte hain agar minor sa bhi issu hota hai toh us pannel ko again paint kiya jaa ta hai.... aur issi sab ke paise hain
Dear Brotomotiv, by-product is the term used for the secondary product produced in the process. Please don't use that word. Use final product or final result or just result. For a specific procedure also use result of that procedure. I hope I am correct. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Sir same point with My Nexon and I have also discussed with the dealer so they told me that NAHI HAME TO NAHI LAAG RAHA.....I have proofs I can share it with you.....
@@pratikwarhade95 bhai I purchased Nexon just 2 days ago...I also checked paint is ok everywhere. Except one rear door has a chip...whith white colour which is looking awkward. I haven't seen it yet..but now I can't unsee it
It is not the problem of product or company’s thinking, it is all about the market. Current market is mixed because some want safety some want features and some want an overlap with some compromises. People should fix a new normal like a base which gives good safety (like strong structures, frames, doors etc) and ensures the quality of what ever being offered. Giving feedback to companies, at forums can make better impact. Appreciate Brotomotiv for always trying to give their best to customers.
I have seen large amount of similar pinholes and orange peels in my own car xuv300 after getting delivery but I compounded the panels at home which reduced the orange peels to a certain extent. Seriously it hurts to see a new car with such paint defects.
being a autobody painter myself i can feel the same as you, its shocking that brands do this, honda is worst amongst them finishing is "0" we do better paint jobs than them and yet we have to charge less because of "brand value"

Wow, superb attention to details. Aise service agar milne lage to hamari quality of life kafi zyada badh jayegi. Keep it up. Superb work guys. 👏🏻

Great... Your business will flourish. But promise to yourself that you will maintain the quality of service always. God Bless You!
RESPECT! You're spitting the facts which I've always feared of.
@@JaspreetSingh-hf3rz XUV700 also has issues that are currently being resolved; battery draining, for some drive modes not working, touchscreen going blank and a few more here and there
This paint issue doesn't concern the first batch or the last.. It is present in all TATA cars, be it nexon, harrier or Tiago.
Superb well explained heartfelt each and every person deserves to know this information
Simply love your passion towards your work and your ethics, very knowledgeable and good to know information video.

I purchased black alcazar i have also similar type of camplaint.
When compared to OEM, you gave a classic finish, keep up the good work.
We are from Bangalore
I think pinholes or dust on plaints improves build quality....🤔🤨
Then you should buy Tata only 😂
What the fuck
😁😁😁😂😂😂🤪
U have that part to think 🤔
Why
Next level professionalism 💯💯
Tata will be thankful to point out paint quality so that they can improve

Sir I Have Tata Altroz So How Much It's Cost ... For PPF Or Ceramic ??
these guys are genuine and to the point, i wish they had their service available in delhi /ncr?
This will reach Mr Tata and will have rumours in their painting facilities but eventually things may remain same in TATA's paint booth.
🤣🤣 Mr Tata 🤣
After sanding how much microns does it decrease in paint?? And how much does it increase after ceramic coating if any??
This video should reach more people.Truth should be understood by the people 🙌
If I'm not wrong, this is the second time TATA Harrier paint issue has been shown on this channel. Not only paint, I've also noticed finishing issues with their welding on the boot door as well on Harrier and Nexon.
Boss there is no Dislikes.... That's the real compliment to you guys.. doing such a great work..
But first-batch cars also have a lot of niggles and basically are testing waters. Maybe the first batch of next iteration. :)
Hats off to the owner for opting for such big step and playing with the paint-job. I am sure.. this is the belief that #Brotomotiv team has managed to create inside people's heart..
Kudos to the Brotomotiv team for over exceeding and achieving the results as always..
Bro in India 99.9℅ mein scratches hote hain fir bhi log araam se gaadi chalate hain...
aap sirf pinhole ke chakkar mein pade ho...
apne desh mein abhi aishi situation nahi hai ki ham log bina kisi scratch ya dent ke gaadi chala paaye... nirjeev chizo se itna bhi lagaav theek nahi hai... ham logo gaadi lete hain travel ke liye isase jyada kuch nahi hai... detailers ap sabki inhi baato ki wajah se iska faayda uthaane ke liye ppf, ceramic,... falaana dhamaka,,, baba g ki ghanta leke aate rahte hain....
Company ka painting kaafi achhi hoti hai aur agar apki car daily sunlight mein na pade toh paint 6 saal mein bhi na fade hoga... ye farzi ki Tattebazi hai... dark and metallic colours par pinhole jaisi problem aa he jaati hai.... premium cars mein isse neglect kiya jaata hai kyuki issi liye toh woh premium hain... main yaha tak dekha hai ki cars ko ready hone ke baad manually sunlight mein rakhkar cheak karte hain agar minor sa bhi issu hota hai toh us pannel ko again paint kiya jaa ta hai.... aur issi sab ke paise hain
This is how consumers are cheated every day
Yes really get cheated with fake 5 star rating and fake better build quality news 🙂 # maruthi never cheats
@@bharurocks1534 😂😂 maruti🤭
This is something which I wasn't much aware of ... Thanks for showing.. it will really help me when I will plan to buy a car.
Dear Brotomotiv, by-product is the term used for the secondary product produced in the process. Please don't use that word. Use final product or final result or just result. For a specific procedure also use result of that procedure. I hope I am correct. Please correct me if I am wrong.
10:57 perfect bole bohutone dekhana shuru kar diya hoga.
Sir same point with My Nexon and I have also discussed with the dealer so they told me that NAHI HAME TO NAHI LAAG RAHA.....I have proofs I can share it with you.....
What's the issue with your Nexon?
@@mihiragarwal Sir paint me chote chote particles hai n roof pe paint drop jaisa kuch hai.....
You should not have taken the delivery of vehicle. XUV300 isn't a cheap CSUV. company charge a premium on this model in comparison to Nexon or likes..

Shame on TATA☹️☹️... Paise ka majaak bna rakha h
being a autobody painter myself i can feel the same as you, its shocking that brands do this, honda is worst amongst them finishing is "0" we do better paint jobs than them and yet we have to charge less because of "brand value"
😡😡😡
COMPANY KE OOPAR CASE THOKNA CHAHIYE..
CONSUMER COURT JANA CHAHIYE. 😡😡😡
