I finally got a chance to sit down and watch this episode. Wow, thanks for the shoutouts! You're the official expert on this game, I'm just calling out those little details one always misses when trying to narrate a video because of tunnel vision, the logic and wisdom you only see later while editing and head-smack yourself. 😉 Believe me, I know! Ok, that Witch's Curse was really not expected. This game seems to still have a lot of uncovered surprises in store. I noticed it was Autumn when it hit, so a Halloween surprise I guess? What's next, Spring bunnies eating the crops and leaving eggs? 🤔 And now with townhouses and condominiums, this game has really got a lot of content already. As to the town well, I'm guessing they stock that with Evian Spring Water and so is only available for Townhousians... And with so many expensive random events popping in, I can see the benefit of a 'keep 100 minimum in the bank at all times' policy. Good show!
AGREED about the keep some money in the bank thing! Also, I FIGURED it was something about the water type... I wonder if someone keeps a watchful eye and slaps peasants if they try to drink it!
The reason why commoners are upset because they don't want to lived near peasant area, the same way you don't want to lived next to crime ridden sinister slum. People in this game are just like real life, they're classist.

Commoners do NOT want to live near Peasants (red) area is less desirable. Commoners are the next upgrade towards nobility, and will want their own water, shopping, roads, and other needs not to be mixed with dirty Peasants.
Your commoners are upset because they want their own neighborhood. That is why it showed the deep red. They may work in the area, but they do want to live near it - let alone in the middle of it. I was laughing NO!! at my screen as you were creating their space. So... well... you kinda have an issue you'll have to decide how to fix. Just for reference... The condo workers gather the supplies and folks pull food and coal from there. The people will only eat from the markets. They will starve rather than grab food from the grainery. And, you need to leave the courtyard open and not add inside of it of they will get stuck. I'm curious how you will fix your situation. I was surprised you got into the mess as you seem to think logically. It was great to start the day laughing.
