in this video i have shown to create representation in Creo or proe
representation feature is similar to solid works feature configurations and NX UG feature Arrangements
representation is used for creating different arrangments of cad in a single assembly.
consider we have a product - but that product have various different options
e.g CAR - in car of same brand you will find various options like, Car with parking camera, car with extra safety bag etc
to accommodate these minor differences in those car CAD files and create different Assemblies for each of them it is very difficult, in this kind of scenario representation helps us create a single assembly and keep all the different CAR options in a Single Assembly.

Yes, its called external representation. Right click on the representation and select external representation you will get new assembly. Hope it is useful
