Best part of this clip is that Karl wasn’t t even going to mention the horse at first, he was going straight to explain how she had this baby and only mentioned the horse to explain how rough the family were.
I can fully believe this story growing up in Manchester in the 80’s and 90’s there was a big traveler population , there still is today but I’ve heard stories about people keeping horses in the house or their back garden of their council flat it’s definitely got some truth to it
As an Irishman i can and im sure many others could too, tell you some weird enough places horses end up. Had a lad walk a Shetland pony through a spar a few years back showing off its massive fifth leg. It was closing shift tho so some leniency for madness
: The Horse that Karl saw in that house was likely a Great Dane. Great Danes are often compared to horses, they are among the largest of dog breeds and have a snout a facial very similar to a horses. I have a friend who thought he saw a horse in neighbors house when he was 7. The horse, we later figured out, was a large, Grey, Great Dane named 'Molly'. The same thing happened to Karl.
Tbf my gran used to be a district nurse and she told me she used to have to go round a house on a council estate in Swansea and there was a horse upstairs.
I was in Leeds once and when I was walking to Elland Road there was honestly just a pony tied to a pole in the middle of a small field. Must be a northern thing lol
“This is gonna be good” understatement of the millennium
It took Blade Runner 2049 164 minutes to tell us one of the most important lessons there is to learn in life. Karl Pilkington did it in 9.
which one?

“Musta knicked it from somwheh!” I literally fell out of my bed laughing
When Karl loses it at "cattl'n rustlin' " 💀
I thought he lost it at Ricky losing it lol
I know its a bit later but always felt this was the story that really started it all, in particular their long partnership
That’s what Steve has claimed
Well it says everything that this is one of the only xfm moments Steve remembers and he has brought it up in recent interviews and podcasts
Karl's point is actually correct.

"But am I right?" - "You're always right, Karl."

Oh god, why? That raises so many questions! Was the patient "a bit rough", looked like Pauline Quirke?
There was a rumour on the estate I used to live on that somebody had a horse in their house.. I wonder if it's something of a popular urban myth?
But I'm guessing you never saw the wife.
I am not shocked tbh, being from Swansea myself.
I lived in Swansea, I believe this.
Ah, the classic, unabridged version!
Yep, I try to keep my snippets original and don't add or take away anything unnecessarily.
Man this needed to be animated.
It is
@@BT-ot6gm where?

@@BT-ot6gm not the xfm shows
Maybe this should be by next animation? 🤔
A tele and that
"And finally, what do you make of Sainsbury's introducing square tins?"
6:59 it could happen, rick. Come on, work with him 😂😂
This is basically me//CC, Gerry//Boarders et al... and friggin David Brodie Goodall #lol

Gypsies.
Where else you gonna tie a pony up
It's a traveller thing
I saw that in Chessington, as someone else said, it's a traveller thing and there's travellers all over.
My family once found one that was tied up I a field, but it had made several attempts to free itself due to deep scars in its flesh
So, we freed it
3 piece suite, telly and that
Definitely a traveller / Northern thing. I've seen ponies in people's yards.
I'd say more of a traveller thing for sure. I've seen horses around Abbey Wood, Chessington and other parts of outer London areas.
“I’m fed up in ‘ere”
Hahaha
“What’d you mean he knicked it?!!!” 🤣
Catlin rustlin’?
Is this where the Snow Patrol song came from?
Karl's point could have been made in 15 seconds
“Must of nicked it” 😂
Orse in the ouse
have you been going cattlin' rustlin?
6:00 Telly n’that
I love Karl, but, I can't listen because Ricky and Steve ruin it. They are so disruptive, loud and obnoxious.
Its their show lmao, people want to hear them
That’s what makes it funny to me
Literally the point of them, wouldnt be a show with Karl alone..
You cant enjoy any of their stuff then, its literally the whole point of them 3 together and why its so funny. bizarre comment.
