    Hi, nice video
    Installed the same carrier. there are on both sides 3 screw holes not needed for the carrier. Took i.e. one of them for an eye bolt. Combined with an helmet lock getting a perfect place on the rear wheel to drop off the helmet at parking.
    problem of the hepco system: if having oem pillion grab bars there is not enough space for the bags (else you use longer screws plus spacer for the C-Bow. This is not recommeded/approved by hepco becker!!!!)
    P.S. your bike bike looks as a twin of mine - same colour and puig shield. like yr. tank lettering

      Thanks for the comment. Yeah I've heard about the OEM grab handles not working with this bag setup, but since I dont have them I'm not worried about it, but that's something that I should have mentioned in the video in case someone with the handles is looking to buy this setup. Great idea about the eye bolt and helmet lock. I'm going to look into that!

      Hepco & Becker grab rails their are a couple to choose from & look better than plastic Triumph one's & are more practical.

    They look OK. I would consider and you are correct about that logo. A tad obnoxious it is.

      @Mudslidex1  2 года назад +1

      I already painted over the logo with black spray paint. Looks so much better!

      Good point. Yes they do stick out. So if you do any kind of lane filtering, you need to be careful

    I agree with you about the logo. That would pass me off having that big logo on my bike.

    How is to actually ride with those? Wind noise? Ecc.?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  Год назад

      No noise or even any weight difference unless you really load them up. Other than the hideous giant logo on the side, they are fine

    I bought the Sapphire Black Trident 660 as well bc it was the last one in stock in New Orleans where I live but I REALLY wanted the Matt Jet Black bc I love the tank cover design. I saw your tank cover in this video & really like the white Triumph lettering you added. Please tell me, is it paint or just a decal?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  3 года назад +1

      Thanks. Yeah like the logo of the other tanks as well. So I made the Triumph logo on my Cricut machine. It's a vinyl decal

    Hi Joe, as you wear reading glasses too, how do you get on with the small lcd/TFT display? Or do you ride with glasses too?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  3 года назад +1

      I do have glasses although most times I dont ride with them (I should). I have transition lenses so the upper part is distance and lower part is for reading. If I wear them, they make riding more enjoyable as I can see the dash crystal clear and can see the signs and anything in the distance sharp. However, this time of year when it's cooler, I find they fog up on me, so I really dont wear them. I can still see the display fine, but not as sharp as if I wore my glasses

    How about the pillion?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  8 месяцев назад +2

      That’s a tight fit even without the bags. Hence the reason I sold it and now have a Tiger 900GT. I loved the Trident. The seat was just too small for a passenger. But with the bags it was still ok. About as good as it can be on the Trident riding 2up

    Will it fit a 15in laptop?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  2 года назад

      Without testing with one, I would say yes. My work laptop is 14" and it fits easily in there with plenty of room to spare. I don't see why a 15" would not fit

    Hey man! How does it feel while riding at high speed like above 70mph?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  2 года назад

      The bike feels good and can easily do those speeds, but it is a light bike and it’s a Naked bike so you do have to hold on. I’ve driving it am about an hour of highway driving and it’s doable, but a little tiring. And you do get blown around with crosswinds etc. I wouldn’t use it for a touring bike , but it can easily handle those higher speeds and get there quickly. You just have to really hold on once you’re up there

    • @burkburckback
      @burkburckback 2 года назад +1

      Oh my bad,I should've elaborated my question :) I have the bike, I know how it handles at high speeds. I meant that the bike with saddle bags. How does it feel while riding with bags on?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  2 года назад +1

      @@burkburckback sorry. I should have realized since this video was about the bags. Actually I don’t feel any different eve. Maybe if you have the bags loaded up you will feel it on slow speed turns etc. but I don’t feel any drag or any resistance at high speed with the bags

      @@Mudslidex1 Thanks. Do you happen to own the heated grips?, I just a saw a youtuber talking about them not being warm enough, they are expensive but an elegant and practical solution, but if they are not good enough for 0 degrees Celsius could be a deal breaker for me

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  2 года назад

      @@ronin3dindustrial I don't own the heated grips but I heard the same thing about them. I know they fit nice and are integrated into the system nice and neat, and when you turn them on you get the indicator on the dash etc...But I heard they are not warm enough. I personally would go for heated gloves. But that's just me, my hands get cold and everyone I know with heated grips say the same thing, tops of hands get cold. For me, I like that heated gloves heat both the front and back of hands. Especially if you dont have handguards to help block the wind. But yeah, I heard aftermarket heated grips run hotter than the Triumph ones.
