This series is mostly around 90s, because costume is from that era, major of things are inspired by 90s, all i was thinking is Raj & DK must have lived that era, school life that may be reason it's inspiration from life, and kids having crush on teachers is very common in 90s

The title is a play on Guns and Roses, roses means gulaab, so the story is about violence and romance, its so poetic 👏

Blank call vs prank call = when nobody on the other side speaks vs. them talking crap. I remember, there were people who would deliberately dial a random number and strike up a conversation with whoever answers.
Loved the soundtrack and the artistic way the credits rolled at the end of the first episode! Also Yeh Vaada Raha and Zamane ko Dikhana hai were both my favourite films and soundtracks...Like a comfort blanket! Deliciously anticipating the rest of the episodes now - bingewatch here I come.....! ❤❤
I wonder if the kids are going to be just as important if not more a bit like Stranger Things. I like the fact they have shown the western influences in a Desi setting. How we grew up with both the worlds - songs and movies side by side to our own cultural influences

At this point, why even bother to release it on streaming? The studio seems to have completely surrendered themselves to this morally ambiguous p*r*cy. I don't get how the studio thinks they'll benefit from this. I mean it's not even some niche content, it's by one of the most famous directors - Raj & DK, which means that everyone who watches web series will at least give it a try even if the studio doesn't heavily promote it.
They are reviewing it. If they don't like something they will mention it and it's working because your watching it 😂

I think it's based in the early 90s because they show a poster of Agneepath(original) which was released in the 90s. Also the hitman is styling his hair after Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Dutt had long hair throughout the 90s, Rajkumar Roa even makes a passing comment in one of the episode when he is searching for the hitman, he says the one who looks like Khal-Nayak(Sanjay Dutt) but that got lost in the translation

My mom had that Moped that Lekha rides. I was a toddler at that time and I still remember it. I am 92 born.
The end credits were so nostalgic. The letters, the corrugated wall we used to have in my grandparents home where I spent most of my childhood, cassettes and having to take the big tape recorder with you to study on the terrace, the landline phones. I was obsessed with English songs too because it was a fun way to learn English. A.I.R. used to play so many English songs from backstreet boys, britney spears, Nelly furtado, Madonna, and others. I also read English novels 😅.

After a certain point this series felt like Gangs of Gulabganj 🗿
(Correct me if I'm wrong) the reason I think he threw out the first tape is because he thought he was listening to a original song but then some music starting at which point he realized that it's some remixed version of the original. The second tape had a different song but it was the original version (one of my favorite song btw).
