*I have the Lark Max and the Dji Mic 2. I like the Mic Mini but that fact that I can't use it as a Transmitter/Recorder, so that's a No No for me, BUT it's good to see someone compare this to something OTHER then the Dji Mic 2 as these AREN'T the same Mics. But you can buy the Mic Mini stand alone which is cool and with the Hollyland Lark M2 you can Do that also but Idk if it's the same but I'll stick with my Mic 2. But I do love Hollyland Products and I think they are severely underrated*

Wow, the DJI Mic Mini's audio quality really blew me away! The clarity and noise cancellation in the video are outstanding, definitely worth every penny.

the dji case is much better. You can fit all the accessories in it unlike the hollyland. I had to buy an earbud case to hold hollyland stuff cuz i didnt like the pouch they had.

honestly ive been using Lark for almost a year now and it is amazing, it all depends if price is an issue then go with lark, lark is also smaller and has smaller iphone attachment so thats that - if you have any of dji products, osmo action or so on, go with dji :D
Oh no... I just bought the Lark M2 as it felt more worthwhile as compared to buying a single DJI mic to pair with my Pocket 3. Now that this is out... I feel so tempted to use this as it says it can connect directly to the Pocket 3 (without having to plug in the USB-C). I wonder how they both sound for recording music. Honestly, DJI Mic that comes with the pocket 3 really rocks. The sound quality is fantastic. I find that the hollyland Lark M2 doesn't sound too good for music. Now I'm tempted again... Crap...
if you got the dji mic with your osmo, then keep that, its probably bigger and better than mic mini, i would say keep using that one then :) no need to get the new one unless you want a smaller option :)
that is very true, lark is deff smaller in profile so when you put it on subject or yourself its smaller :) and also as you said - stickers, that magnetic necklase - its deff inoivation and different than dji, this is just same same but different :)
It's really great that you came with this test, but why on sound quality you speak through the microphone ? nobody buy small microphone like this to use it like you used on test .. and also why you put background music on when you make microphone sound quality test ...

Can either one record internally? Sometimes I clip mics onto people at weddings and don’t always have a camera rolling to sync the audio to a video file… currently on DJI mic 1 and wanting to upgrade to something
question honest Pick Lark M2 or the Mic Mini im using the Neewer CM28 its a good mic but dont have a lot of bass audio is clear but seems like its being recorded from a Android or Iphone 15 pro camera mic which its not bad
if budget is important then lark m2 for sure, its cheaper, smaller profile and comes with many accessories. If you do wanna test out the dji mic mini i would say order and you can always return if you dont like how it sounds.both are good options, and very very similar as far as audiio

You didn't really do any Hollyland comparisons. Hollyland is a lot better. You didn't do the outside comparison, charging, etc. Hollyland is cheaper and records just as well if not better.
we compared the size, sound and functions overall, i personally think the sound is a bit better on dji but as far as usage and sizing, hollyland takes the win - smaller case and better noise canceling. and it is cheaper :), to each its own
hmm, great question, if you wanna use any mic with pocket 3 and action 5 i would suggest go with dji mic mini since its in the same family of products so you will have more options via dji mimo app, as far as iphone - i would still go with lark since its 1. cheaper, 2. smaller to carry and usb plug is way smaller than micmini

It's unfair comparism tbh. First please get raid of the music at the background. Second, you attached dji mic mini on your shirt which is below your chin as compare you holding hollyland lark MK II on your hand and speaks directly into the mic. For sure it will sound much richer and deeper tone. Maybe you could upload another short video just a quick speech for both mic attached to your shirt. Without the music at the background of cause.

i would honestly use LARK for that because it is small enough for you to put it under your watch on ur hand ( i did that for some unboxing ) so it will be easyer for you to record ASMR like that

I'm about to buy any of them and I think I will go to the Hollyland because USB C receiver looks to me quite less big and more discreet indeed. What I don't know is.. does this Hollyland also bring the deadcats for the wind?

why don't you go in the street and record the video with your phone? we want to ear a real life situation for the audio, not studio controlled enviroment
i will do that on the next one, i had a tight deadline for the video so i had to record it quickly :D i did go outside a bit but now with the new firmware i can test out the noisce canceling opiton nicely
Just what I needed. Thanks. Bought the L2 2 days ago. Not sure I like the audio it but love the size. Will keep testing it. Had one interview with iPhone 16 Pro Max and it kept on clipping the audio.
@@timjenkins8943 yeah it can clip sometimes i know i used it as well - good thing about dji and phone usage is that you have dji mimi app and you can turn on some options so its more “smarter “ as far as cliping goes

I think the Lark has more sibilance, while dji has more low end. I personally like the Lark better

yeah..no :( only dji mic 2 has internal recording, for that you will need eather mic 2 or rode wirless pro

@ i dont believe so - u cant even adjust it for the mic mini - only auto adjusments and honestly it does a good job
