Definitly the best grand final ever. 2 teams so evenly matched, the momentum of the game switching one way and then the next and then finally not decided until the last minute
Great video :) Controversial at the end. But it was extremely painful as a Bulls fan back then. Not sure which was more painful, this or 1999 where Withers 'apparently' knocked on prompting a disallowed Leon Pryce try - I don't think Saints would have won that one if that Bulls try that should've been given, was given.
I'm a Saints fan and we all sorry for Bradford getting relegated, especially after they scored rare victories over Leeds and Wigan. Good luck in the Championship and thanks for all the memories.

the bulls were playing for it, and voluntary tackles arnt giving when fullbacks are diving out of the end-goal are they so, we would of been more ripped off had that penalty been given.
I still remember that feeling of joy when Longy pops over the drop goal, sent shivers down my spine! Can't believe it was nearly 9 years ago!
An that was 9 years ago 👍
I cant believe it was 19 years ago. What an honour its been to watch the mighty Saints during this period.
Definitly the best grand final ever. 2 teams so evenly matched, the momentum of the game switching one way and then the next and then finally not decided until the last minute
What a game this was, one of my favourite finals between Saints and Bradford
This was my first Grand Final as a Saints fan as a 9 year old! I dont remember much but by god i remember celebrating when that drop goal went over!
The days when saints fought to the death no matter what!! Miss these good old days
Thank you! Been looking for this for ages!
Best grand final there has ever been.
Ruined by the ref at the end

Great video :) Controversial at the end.

That voluntary tackle.
umpire bottled it at the end....should have been penalty for voluntary tackle.
Nope. Bradford players pulled out. Joynt got up.

Amazing how Bradford didn't charge down Long at the end

bradford seemed to make a habbit of scoring first and losing the grand final, i think every grand final they lost they scored first.
If it was a voluntary tackle. There would have been a penalty to the Bulls (from a kickable position).
Bring back russel smith and Ian
Bring back russell smith! A proper ref!
Who doesn't know how to spot a voluntary tackle!
the bulls were playing for it, and voluntary tackles arnt giving when fullbacks are diving out of the end-goal are they so, we would of been more ripped off had that penalty been given.
