Captain Marvel isn't a bad film though, it's just mediocre, which seems bad within the grand scheme of the MCU because almost all of its other films have been and are excellent. Faulting Larson for Captain Marvel isn't too fair, though; I think the movie was doomed to mediocrity from as early as its script, well before any of it was filmed at all.
I always thought she seemed a little guarded during interviews, I'm glad she's getting more comfortable in the spotlight. Seems like a cool dude
I think all the hate she got so fast right when her career started talking off made her a lot more guarded and probably thought everyone didn’t like her but it’s lots of people who like her. And now I think she’s realized that she’s loved by lots of people

Her career boomed right around 2016 when she won her Oscar, and that was when people like Jennifer Lawrence were getting a lot of heat for being herself when the media kept hyping up her "relatable quirkiness". I read that Brie initially wanted to put more focus on projects than her personality, so it's nice that she's more open now after realizing people were misinterpreting her personality.

It's because of her interviews and press conferences. In many she comes off as a pretentious, virtual-signaling know-it-all, with a stick up her ass and completly devoid of humor. I remember when she was making the rounds with her cast mates from the Marvel movies, they would joke around, and she just couldn't keep up, or it flew over her head or seemed to take it the wrong way. The word "cringey" is overused, but that exactly what it was. And then there was that rant about "middle-aged white men"... In this interview she showed a different side, which often happens in _Hot Ones,_ a credit to Sean's interview style. Here she's very likeable, down to earth and even funny. Yeah, she seems really cool here.

One part that kind of caught my attention was there's a part towards the end about the writer of Rose being written as a character that was meant to be a nerd, someone who reminded him of one of his friends in high school, and who intentionally didn't belong in the Star Wars universe. To me, that in itself is relatable when talking about feeling like an outsider, and could be true for people who feel that way in life or in the SW universe-especially if you don't read the books, watch tv series, etc. I feel like they already have other central characters to kind of satisfy their invested fanbase when it comes to familiarity. The video creator also says they don't want any less female characters, just better ones...and I agree with the first part but Rose wasn't flawed to me, she was just a different flavor to the mix of existing women in the movie franchise who all kind of share a similar tough/privileged (either had influence or the control of the force) background.
My bigger thought is always this: even if she was, I don't see the same type of vitriol hate that she gets when there are male characters who aren't funny, interesting or memorable. Sure they get dismissed or their scenes are seen as cliché/goofy/boring, but they don't get the same hateful energy that women who have the similar roles receive.

I’ve thought the same thing before, you should definitely sell all the hot sauces as a set for people to do at home. Me and my friends have said so many times that we should try find all the sauces and do our own, but a full bottle of all the sauces is so expensive, if you did a set of like 100ml sized bottles or maybe even smaller, guarantee they’d sell like hot cakes

I've always felt like she's super uncomfortable in interviews, and just not herself. I think it has affected her career. This is the first interview where she really seems to let go and be herself, and she's SO much more personable. More proof of the power of this format. Great stuff.

James Coyne lots of guests got scammed though if you compare the sauces this season the sauces are much less spicy than other seasons so it makes some guests look worse (talking about the stuff in the middle ) than others even though the sauces they had were more spicy.

So she often uses sarcasm when she's super nervous and I guess a lot of people don't understand her sarcasm. she's actually a super sweet and lovely person, and now she's adjusted to the big stardom fame I think in her next marvel film she'll be better received. she's a great person

She came across as really genuine and likeable. I don't think this deserves so many dislikes. She has hurting BEFORE DA Bomb and she still managed to pull through to the end. That's really commendable.
