She's buddies with Doom Slayer, Doom Slayer has the power of Eldrich, Divine and Demonic energies. Kirby has the power of heart, soul (which is Krirby's version of eldrich), star and dream energies. They're on a fairly even playing field but far as I am aware, Doom Slayer hasn't actually shown his full potential in fighting threats on the same level as the ones Kirby has fought. Kind of reminds me of how the God level Appmon from Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters never used their full power because Leviathan didn't show its own full power because it didn't want to destroy or reshape one or both worlds but turn all humans into apps, unlike basically any other Digimon main villain (or their Digimon as some were just humans or Analogman, who stopped being human after his initial defeat)
It's my headcanon that the village was started and Isabelle worked there, eventually finding this one villager she saw potential in. She raised that villager to become her enforcer for collecting bell payments and whenever she needs a mercenary, I mean how else are you gonna chase up on debts of people that have died unless you go to hell? That is how the Doom Slayer was created.
