All of your blouses are lovely. I feel the same way about labels. They are cute, but one of the things I like about my handmade garments is no itchy labels. I can totally relate to your back-to-school prep. I’m in the same boat. I enjoyed your video. 😊
Hi,love all your makes. In Australia teachers spent many days preparing their classrooms as well. I am very impressed with what you showed us. Good luck with your first few weeks as a new teacher.
Here’s to a great first school year! 🎉 I was a career educator and love to see young teachers start their journey. It is a hard job, but it is so rewarding. Your kids are lucky to have you. Enjoy your week! 😊-Deborah
Pink Stuff oxi spray stain remover is amazing for stains. It’s taken out stains that are months old and that I’d already washed and ironed numerous times… olive oil, rust and tomato stains. Hope it works. 🤞 I’ve now made the New Look 6560 in viscose too and I’m going to be taking off the sleeve caps too. In cotton they looked fine but not in viscose - weird! Good luck next week. 👍
Those trousers are just the most wonderful blue colour! You have so many coordinating tops for them as well. Well done on prepping the classroom, I was a teaching assistant for a few years so I remember doing those 😂. Sounds like you had a great time at the sewing meet up. Have a great week and good luck on your first day ❤xx
Hey! Hope you are having a lovely time in Canada. I do love Royal Blue, even though it was my school colour it's always been a favourite! Sewing meet up was really fun, hopefully the next one you will be there! xxx
I've made that New Look pattern several times. With frill, without, sleeves and sleeveless. All made with 100% cotton. I also have the other pattern, you''ve encouraged me to tackle it. Thank you
I looked up how to remove dandelion stain and you have to soak the garment in a a bowl of warm water with a small amount of enzyme-containing detergent. Never tried it so I don’t know if it works. Failing that (and you may not like this idea) cut a kangaroo pocket to cover up the stain, or instead of cutting a whole front cut and insert a triangle shape and make it a feature, or just the section of garment from under the arms and again make it a feature 😊 hope this helps 😊
Thank you so much for your suggestions. Unfortunately the enzyme wash didn't work, that was the first thing I tried. I may have to make a scarf or something to wear with it, although the panel covering it might work. xxx
Hi Jen! You can always make your video early and have it set to play on Friday. That is what I do. There is no way I can record on Friday, edit, and wait for hours sometime for it to upload. Make it easier for you😊.
That requires me to be organised, something you may have noticed from my vlogs, is not always my strongest attribute. 🤣🤣 Hope you are having a lovely week. 🥰
Unfortunately I don't seem to have any scraps or anything. I am thinking I need to get a royal blue scarf or something. Thank you for your suggestions. xx
Hi! Yes I did, And to be honest crotch depth is not often an issue for me. Admittedly I think I should have used 2 inch elastic and I only have 1 inch, but that doesn't account for all of it. I will often pin something in place, try it before finishing it. xx
You have a large class. I hope you have a wonderful year! Many blessings. Your tops are great, and the fabrics lovely.
Thank you so much!

It's good to know I am not alone. There are so many teachers and teaching assistants out there. xxx

I definitely think the frilled one might have to happen soon! Enjoy sewing the threadcount pattern, Its a nice simple top but pretty when done. xx
Love today’s outfit 😊
Thank you. xx
If you haven’t washed yet, seamstresses use hairspray to get that stain out!!! All tops pretty!!!
Unfortunately, I put it in an enzyme wash straight away. Thank you so much. xx
I hope you have a wonderful time with your first class. You sound like you are going to be a lovely teacher

Could you put a ruffle down the front to hide the stains or a faux button placket x

Do ties and stitch them down once tied???
Yeah, I'm thinking along these lines. Need to search for any remaining fabric. xx
did you say you took the crotch up by 3" on your latest pants, I have such problems getting the right fit xx

Andrea from beyond the pink door found an excellent stain remover why don’t you contact her.
I will have a look at her vlogs. Thank you. xx
