I came from a single parent family. My mother played men a lot and used them for what they had. When I got married it was hard for me to connect emotionally with my husband. It took us years and lots of hard times to bond well. Marriage has made me more selfless and God used marriage to soften my heart and beat down my big ego. Marriage changed my understanding of men. Marriage made me a better communicator. Marriage also taught me to always talk to God first and pray a lot about things you go through because you cant fix or change your husband you need God to do it. God is the most faithful one in the marriage 😊 and lastly, God used my marriage to teach me how to control my own emotions.
I don’t see how someone would think dating is the same as being married. In dating we tend to be still guarded and put our best selves forward whereas in marriage is exposing (if done right). But then again today’s dating is so different from what it used to be. People quickly cohabitate and living as if they’re married so I can see why someone would think there’s no difference.
