  • This customer got energy independence for Christmas! This completely EMP hardened system had to be placed outside, which made for some interesting challenges on the job.

    I'm always amazed at the quality work you do. I know it's expensive to have the best but wow, the joy of knowing you can be off grid for decades without worry has to be rewarding.

    Hey!! Thanks for all the cool videos!! The EMP batteries is called CFE here by us in South Africa. I have sold a few and clients are super happy!
    Sol-Ark here is Deye/Sunsynk. Great inverters😀😀

    I really love your videos. Thank you for making them easy to understand. I would like to see a follow-up video of this installation once it’s all complete. I don’t understand how you’re going to make ice. Please explain that. Obviously you’re gonna dump access PV generated power into a air conditioning, compressor somehow, and freeze water but I would like to see this. Thank you keep your good work going on. And for you to travel five hours out of your area, proves how committed you are.

    They make us add meters on the load side of the inverter in Arizona when you have batteries.

    Nice job looks good I’m just wondering how you got a smart load panel to be EMP protected like your 15 K inverter

    • @engineer775
      @engineer775  5 месяцев назад

      By smart load panel I just mean a breaker panel that's going to distribute power to two different loads. It's not the solark smart load panel that is full of relays and printed circuit boards.

    Question on those ESP batteries. You said they are EMP proof. I thought any Lithium Iron Phosphate battery has a BMS. That in itself is not EMP proof.
    The system I installed: 2-12K Solarks (I bought from you) that are EMP proof inverters, 2 arrays with 40 PVs each at 310W per PV (80) but settled with AGM 215Ah batteries was my way to get around the vulnerability of batteries with BMSs that are not EMP proof. Has it something to do with the cabinets (Faraday cage)?
    Thanks.

    In my opinion, not putting the electronics inside protected from the weather is a mistake and the equipment will succumb to the weather !

    • @engineer775
      @engineer775  5 месяцев назад

      Oh I agree. This is my first outdoor installation of a mechanical room and I was reluctant to do it. The customer understands that it is actually framing in a couple of walls and a ceiling to help protect the equipment. Without moving that HVAC condensing unit out of that space, there's no way to totally enclose it.

    Man.. how do you all afford this land and all this stuff? Do you guys run company's and make millions or something? I would kill to have an acre or so of land with trees, area to build septic, well and solar.. dont even need a large home.. 4bedroom, 3bath.. one room for home theater, one for office/gaming, two rooms for sleeping.. workable kitchen.. that's all. Ideally in an area where there are no right wing nut jobs and left wing nut jobs.. hate political crap. I don't think a place exists like that any more.
