- Dragon Ball FighterZ Ultra just got an updated! Not only can you transform with Goku and Vegeta, you can now do so with Adult Gohan as well! The new moveset is sick, Gohan SSJ3 is a bit weird, but I wasn't expecting this Dragon Ball FighterZ mod to even get updated. This is super exciting.

Globku could you make a prediction or wish list video please for any future DLC characters potentially coming to FighterZ - whether we get a Season 4 or more likely random updates?
Thanks for trying out the update! Will definitely take your thoughts into consideration. The reason I went with ssj3 Gohan was because I'd felt he was lacking something compared to Goku and Vegeta but I totally get it!
Couldn’t you do Base > Super Saiyan > Ultimate/Potential unleashed?
@@intotheverse3363 Base form to me would've been too similar to potential unleashed and I felt like it wasn't different enough.
@@RCBurrito1 if you decided to do ultimate as his final transformation. Maybe you could put some white or silver on the edges of his hair because ultimate generally has a white aura.
It would help distinguish it from base form.

@@base-vegeta3611 I felt that it wasn’t different enough to justify a whole new transformation, that was all. I wanted to like what I put out and I wanted it to feel cool.
SSJ3 felt unnecessary, but I'm blown away by this project. I'd say give Gohan SSJ2 if they can add the lightning aura. Or go the DBS route and remove his bang in base form and have it come back when he goes Ultimate

I know everyone wants this in the game but I see why they didn’t do this. Can you imagine that balancing hell this would be if it were in the game. I much prefer different forms with new movesets, that way you aren’t locked to one version of a character that just transforms. Plus you are essentially learning 5-6 characters now due to the change in transformation since the properties of the moves change in different ways. You have to now think about the combos that work on which transformation you are in and which ones now don’t work. Like with Gohan in game, his levels don’t change what combos work on the character. Imagine having a move that in base just wall bounces. But the next form now juggles instead. Then the next form skd.
It could definitely be a thing for some characters, just not all. All I want level 3 installs (similar to frieza) and nothing else. Like broly, I want his install to actually turn him super saiyan to SHOW the change. And I want gt goku to have a permanent ssj4 install.
If this were to be in the game I would not want it to change the characters drastically or in ways that make it complicated to remember which forms have what properties. I would also want better balancing around the meter gain. I’m not going into a form just to never be able to super or level 3. Maybe add a new move, new command, or a new super, that’s fine. But don’t change the properties of any moves more than once and don’t nerf the meter gain to the point of getting almost nothing from it. I’m spending bar to be in the form. That’s the cost. It can have drawbacks but I shouldn’t be getting only 10% of a bar from a combo. I shouldn’t have to detransform just to be able to gain meter again.
I’m fine with installs but we have gotten more diverse versions of the same character because installs are not a thing. Base goku has 4 different forms and all of them are diverse. While their base attacks may be similar, their specials and other moves are very diverse. You have a REASON to pick on goku over another.
Not only this but hit box changes mid match would be hell imagine super Broly or even worse Gt Goku
THIS. I've brought up this point before, about how a handful of characters would get an insane amount of mixup options and how hard it'd be to adapt to it all on the fly, but people tend to just respond with "well they need to adapt on the fly anyway". And while that may be somewhat true, that would still give a huge edge over whoever had the most transformations. And sure they could just keep the movesets the same with each form and try to give everyone transformations, but then it'd be hard to keep the unique moves that certain forms have, like Goku's Spirit Bomb for example
I agree TBH but this is a cool concept but it’s not competitively good
I agree to disagree with this logic problem with this system is that it hurts any potential roster especially if the series is ongoing.
What will you have a new character with a unique moveset like Tapion or Android 13 or ultra ego Vegeta and that's the problem quite literally we have enough transformations to fill the whole roster the person making the sequel to this game that's hell she's walking into.
Have you ever played umvc3? I’d say it’s in similar vein to that.
Dt dante has new moves which players have to adapt to
Dt vergil plus swords players have to adapt
Zero with doppelgänger you have to adapt
Strider with oro’s you have to adapt
morigan with her clone bullet shooter shenanigans you have to adapt.
Frank west with a lvl up system who gains new moves
And then dark Phoenix who is just broken
So yeah I kinda think your underestimating a lot of players ability to adapt to new moves.
It’s not really all to hard to even adapt and especially because you would have a lot of practice playing against them.
I honestly think fighters would of benefited with just making most of these characters transforms especially goku and vegeta.
It would added the ability to have more unique characters instead of bloat.
I’d love if he gives everyone an attack if OTG properties like how they did for gohan it would allow for new combo routes and it would make the games combo system even better then what it already is
I think this game is totally brilliant, but that was my one beef with it: different forms of characters were separate characters. So you have this giant roster, and it's bloated with ten billion versions of Goku, Vegeta, etc. Having transformations would have been such a rad mechanic to officially have! This mod looks cool!
I sort of get that, but at the same time I'm ok with them being different characters since their moves vary greatly with each form
@@Entei9000 Totally! I definitely appreciate that they play totally different. I would love if that were implemented into the gameplay. Like you get a certain amount of meter, transform, and get new moves, etc. I realize that might get a little unwieldy, but I think it could be pretty hype too!

An idea I had some time ago is that when the last character comes in and gets limitbreak, a cutscene plays and that character transforms.
In other words, make it so that every time a character goes limitbreak, it automatically transforms (or powers up if it doesn’t have a transformation) through a cutscene.
I think it would be pretty sick
It wouldn’t really work though. Like what if UI Goku was the last character? What is he meant to Transform into.
@@dogsarecute6493 thats why i said those that don’t have would just power up. Just an idea not for current FighterZ but for example if there was a FighterZ 2. UI as a character could be UI sign and his transformation would be into actual UI.

I need to say this I grew up with budokai tenkaichi 3 and the storm series but without nostalgia this is the greatest anime game of all time

I think this mod could be nice if it gave all the characters a similar power boost, like Budokai 3's Hyper Mode. Goku, Vegeta and other Saiyans would still have their transformation but theirs could be split into two different characters, like a "Buu Saga" Goku that can go SSJ and SSJ3 and a "Super Goku" that can go SSJ God and SSJ Blue.

I think with goku and vegeta they should give then some spec moves from each form like on base goku gets the comand grab and in super saiyan the punch and in blue the dive kick

He should do cell were he starts in his first form and when he does damage or defeats an opponent he transforms into a new form (or he can just get new forms when he levels up)

I did always wonder why the roster wasn't just characters in base form and then you transform them mid-match... it would make the gameplay so much deeper.
I mean, it's been done before in the Tenkaichi and Budokai games. Shame really.

Probably cause 90% of the time modifying the files of a game is different than make a full game from scratch
It's a cool idea on paper, but unless they can implement it for the entire roster it wouldn't be very balanced
