This video solved a problem for me! I haven't tested this yet, but I was having an issue with my microphone automatically adjusting to 100 after I turned down the gain on my mic. I couldn't figure out why. NOW I know how to fix this hopefully for my next stream. Thank you Kirk.
Good video , Im having problems getting my XLR mic through my Focusrite interface. StreamYard does not recognize the mic a USB mic it does. Any advice?
Nice one! what mic are you using here? sounds great! another thing, last time when I did an interview the guest could hear me and the audience could hear him too but we couldn't hear him in the studio... we had to use a separate phone and go to fcbk live and listen with the normal delay on his answers... how could I fix that? I'm getting averything thru a behrnger mixer into an M-Audio Mtrack 2x2 and to the pc... that echo cancellation definitely fixed the loop we had before and we had to use headphones now for that... but still we couldn't hear the guest...
Thanks so much for the comment and support of the channel. I suggest checking what your speakers are set to, can you hear audio from videos played in the studio? I must admit this is an odd issue I would definitely recommend reaching out to StreamYard support. If you both can be heard on the destination platforms there's no reason you can't hear one another unless your speaker in SteeamYard is set to a different device rather than what your headphones are plugged into.
Thanks! This video is older and has been updated I hope you've found what you need. Any quest please don't hesitate to ask. Again thanks for the comment!
@@MarinaAlbert Unfortunately Yes. I get this question all the time because these virtual choirs make it seem like there's a way to do this but those virtual choirs are recorded separately, edited and mastered, then shared as if live when they are not.
Yes you can do this as well but you'll need to either add a switcher or add them using incognito browser windows each one as a guest in the StreamYard studio and adding a different camera.
Hello. I was streaming the other night and screen-sharing another clip on RUclips. I found out too late that the shared video is echoing. How can I fix it? Thanks.
Streamyard needs to update the voice meters. It doesn't allow the streamer to control the gains for all of the participants. It also needs a full color coded voice meter that shows red, yellow, and green. That is so important
Thanks so much for your comment and support of the channel. I suggest coming to the town hall in Sundays to share that feedback with StreamYard directly. I totally agree we need to see those levels.
@@kirkrnugent Hi again. I'm new to this. I'm not sure what you mean by Town Hall on Sundays. I'd love to let them know directly. It's become a huge problem on my streams

I still cannot get my head wrapped around the echo cancellation thing on streamyard. Maybe you can answer this. During a stream, one person is by herself with headphones and a microphone. On the other end are a group of people with one speaker and one microphone. Who, if anyone, would need the echo cancellation enabled and who would not?
Thanks for your comment and support of the channel. If a person is wearing headphones they have the option to turn echo cancellation off but they don’t have to. Wearing the headphones (and actually listening to the broadcast there) means there audio isn’t potentially coming back into their microphone from their speakers which is the definition of echo. If a person is NOT wearing headphones the MUST have echo cancellation turned on so the others in the studio don’t hear themselves. In the scenario you describe the group should have echo cancellation ON. The single person with headphones has the option of turning echo cancellation off but can keep it on if they want there’s no problem keeping it on UNLESS she is playing an instrument in which case she should turn it off. Hope this helps.
Hi kirk. I use a zealsound mic on my apple macbook pro 15 laptop. But when I use it in streamyard I can't hear the guest speaker. But they can hear me. I don't know why? Can you help me.
Not fully understanding your question... From what you've said sounds like you are mixing the audio you are receiving from the computer, is that right? If so what's the question? Main point of my video is that StreamYard has given us some robust options to adjust audio we are sending INTO the system.
Hi, thanks for the helpful tips. Do you have any idea why the audio quality was lost (on our first time using) when screensharing a video of ours from RUclips. It was more tinny and thin than the original video on RUclips. We were doing a mix of live mixed with pre-recorded and so the loss of quality is a bit of a problem. The video file is too large to upload direct into Streamyard. Were were broadcasting from an unlisted RUclips link of ours.
Playing a video through screenshare has varying results usually bad. Don't think this is an area StreamYard plans to do much work on either. So to get around this issue I use a combination of Ecamm Live and Loopback. I go into detail on it in two videos one is ruclips.net/video/OXS7JICNuSQ/видео.html and the other is ruclips.net/video/5d-ESudMPBs/видео.html.
@@kirkrnugent I've watched the helpful videos and understand (I think!) how the audio would be improved, however we were also showing the video at the same time from RUclips into Streamyard and so the video quality was also not as good as the original. Is there a way to keep the same video and audio quality in screenshare? It is too long to upload directly (more than 5mins).
@@adamvoke8617 In Screen share I have not found a way to keep original quality. I use the virtual camera to play the video into StreamYard after downloading it to my machine from RUclips.
@@kirkrnugent Ah ha, so that's the way through it if i'm understanding you. Use a virtual camera to play all the videos which would keep the quality and use loopback for the audio. Both of those together would provide the solution - is that right?
When Im using my podcast usb zealsound mic, I can't hear the guest speaker but they can hear me. I'm don't know what it is. I have a apple macbook pro laptop. When I unplug the USB zealsound mic I can hear them. Why is this?
Thanks for the comment! Check your mic to see if it has a headphone jack on it. If it does try to connect headphones to it and see if you can hear your guest. Alternatively plug in your mic then in StreamYard go to Audio settings and see what your "Speaker" is set to. If it's set to he zealsoundmic you want to change that to your laptop speakers.
If you remove yourself (host) or anyone else from the stage their audio doesnt stay on. If turn off your camera you can select an option that allows you to stay in the studio with audio only. Hopefully you already figured that out since my repsonse to your comment is very late. Thanks so much for the comment and support of the channel.
