    I enjoy your work. I am sure at one point I saw a scorpion glyph and I would throw some food for thought at this, because of the deep belief of the circle or wheel of life maybe just maybe the circles with connecting lines are generations, as a vulva shown in a circle is where life starts each circle with line is the next generation..... I am of Choctaw/Cherokee decent on my mothers side and I understand the teaching of the life circle. Never saw anything like this though and I really enjoyed it. I live in Apache county Arizona and there are old petroglyphs around these parts and it is also high desert here. Great job.

    Alex, the effort you put into each of these productions is simply amazing. We appreciate it very much. What a great set of petros. The night time footage definitely brought out a lot of details. The lizard petro is my favorite. I am surprised you did not come across any artifacts this time :-) Thank you!

    Alex, I always enjoy your videos, as they are both informative and entertaining. I first viewed your video detailing the Rumsen Indian history in Pacific Grove, CA. I myself spent 10 years on the Monterey Peninsula as a Russian/Serbian/Korean linguist, and later as a tennis pro. Watching your work takes me back to a place I think of so fondly, and illuminates a history of which I was previously completely ignorant. That said, I'm a bit disappointed that you felt the need to issue a disclaimer or two re: extinction and accuracy during the introduction to this clip. These additions to your video make me think you received negative feedback by those who prefered to criticize, rather than simply appreciate your efforts. Please know that those of us who so love your videos do not expect 100% historical accuracy as you recount the lives of those who once inhabited the sites you visit. We just appreciate your willingness to go out there and chronicle the history of long-lost sites. Keep up the GREAT work, and don't concern yourself with the haters. Your authenticity and enthusiasm shine through. Thanks! Will Winningham

    Thank you for recording so many petroglyphs! I watch your videos over again because I have been fascinated by the rock carvings, the older ones in Own's Valley & the very oldest discovered not far away, in Nevada. The triangular attached boxes have been explained to me as rattle snakes-diamond backed. Does it mean it's true? I've spoken with Anthropologists, and read as much as I could about the discoveries out of Nevada, U of R I think,. Actual maps to water were discovered. A wonderful experiment! At first the students thought they were wrong until they dug & indeed found an ancient water source. Just fascinating! So as migrating peoples who followed the animals during the season's, they would leave information at their town sites & hunting grounds for those who came after them. At least that is how it has been explained to me.

    Please do not move the stone artifacts. Don't touch them. Leave them in place so that others can see them at their individual locations. And for others to study the sites and artifacts.

    EXCELLENT ! A Very Neat Place, one of my favorites, pretty good hunting for Quail, Chuckar & Rabbits too....There's another well just to the south/east of it with a walled rock square and a Windmill the Cattlemen put in, in the 40's. Thankyou for visiting that area, I miss it.

    I wonder if those figures are big horn sheep or antelope?

    • @storiesbyalex
      @storiesbyalex  4 года назад +1

      Lance, thanks for watching the series. My assumption is that the images are Bighorn sheep. Antelope are not endemic to North America. The Pronghorn although not an antelope, it is often known colloquially in North America as the American antelope, prong buck, pronghorn antelope, prairie antelope, or simply antelope because it closely resembles the true antelopes of the Old World and fills a similar ecological niche. Also, the horn styles between the Bighorn and the Pronghorn are somewhat different................................alex

    Repeated patterns, outlines of animals, possible maps with seasonal information. We may not know what the exact meaning is, however, it does not mean these are whimsical works. To imprint these rocks requires quite a bit of work. Clearly there is a language here because we see the same patterns over & over, Owen's Valley is a wonderful example of that. Also containing maps to water, mountains with sheep. Peoples would follow the animals and different areas for different seasons. These are maps, and information for the season to fish, hunt sheep. Recordings of warfare, births &... These are not without meaning.

    Great video, Alex! One comment about the large stone circle. I believe that one could tell if it is ancient by looking at the desert varnish on the top and bottom of the stones. There will be a striking difference between the two surfaces if the stones have sat undisturbed for thousands of years. Perhaps the darkest stones are original and others were added later to "fill in" the circle.

    I wonder if the big rocks in the circle represent plantets, months, zodiac symbols or, or Solstice. I'd like to know which large rock in the circle faces due East toward the morning star (aka Lucifer).
    My favorite symbol is the solar symbol on top of the Egyptian pyramid on the bolder you found with the spot light. Then there's the mother worship Yani symbol that entails all kinds of disgusting Alester Crowley style sex magick rituals. These are standard rituals because the demons teach the worshippers the rituals and religion directly. These people think they are powerful shamans, but really they are slaves to the demons and their religion. Maybe there's valid reason for the Missionaries to call the savages and to try to save them.
    Ancient man was very advanced, he was only limited by his stone aged technology. Their culture, symbols, and religious practices can be understood by simply understanding modern luciferian religions and Christianity. This is why there are so many universal horned figures, solar references, and calander references in their petroglyphs. "There's nothing new under the sun".
    Science is all about questioning everything and constantly looking for proof, it's not about dogmatically believing everything you read, or were taught by a college professor who only learned it from the books he made you read.
