Man, this video is the most helpful for understanding these sensors. Twice now, this video has saved me from a headache!!

Awesome Matt. Thank you. Saves me having to register with Keyence just to download a manual. This was a great help.

Thank you! I was trying to set up Datum Mode and the instruction manual was less than instructive. I'm embarrassed how easy you made it look! 🤣

You said it displays the distance of the object from the laser point on the sensor. Why would the number get larger when you bring the object closer to the sensor. The distance is getting smaller. Why did the sensor choose the value of 33 for part present? Why not 10, why not 87? Can you reshoot with a stationary sensor?

How do you change that number for plus or minus 11 in DTM mode? What if i want plus or minus 50?

On the 2 point you explained it differently than my rep. He said to place a bad part in front, hit set then place the good part in front then hit set again. Interesting. You did it the other way

It depends on what you want to sense. You are trying to get an output when the sensor sees bad, he is getting an output when he sees good. You can also flip with light on dark on so it really doesn't matter.
