  • Jeffrey Wright has transformed himself into many characters, from Jean-Michel Basquiat in the movie about the artist’s life, to a man suffering with PTSD in The Manchurian Candidate, to a conflicted programmer in Westworld. But his character in the new movie American Fiction is undergoing a more unwilling transformation. Jeffrey sits down with Tom Power to talk about the new film and his storied career.

Jeffrey Wright is such an underrated actor, who will hopefully receive more leading roles in the foreseeable future!

I've never truly understood that statement of "underrated" I'm remembering him shining in Basquiat, Shaft (2000), The Ides of March . He is Felix in the last three James Bond Movies. Hooked up in the last two Wes Anderson. My 12 y/o knows his voice from Marvel's What If series. My 15 y/o daughter discovered him in The Hunger Games films in The Batman. I don't know, not being on the cover of People Magazine or being seen on Entertainment Tonight is probably a good thing. Westworld!!! He's rated HIGH in film and tv circles I've bounced around in.
