I am overwhelmed by the amount of people that send videos to try and help with the creation of this video, I can't tell you how much I appreciate you all. I am so glad our BW family is so caring and loving and now I know that none of you would even hesitate to try and help. Thank you all so very much. This video was one of the most complicated and difficult ones to make, these mutations are so complicated that I spent hours upon hours researching and trying to understand them so I can put them in a very simplified form for you to understand. I hope I got everything correct! These mutations open a sea of mixed mutations that we can and will discuss in future videos. I hope you guys are eager for these videos as much as I am!
So glad the community is responding so well. And glad you have opened the doors so that you can have much material for creating the vids. Thank you so much for the effort in creating this video explaining the complicated arguments in a simple way
I was so excited to see my beautiful boys in the video (8:28) I wasn't prepared for just how incredible the video was. The information you have given, the work you have put in, all to help others understand. Your truly incredible! 💖 I will always help if I can, you can always contact me 😊
Thanks for your valuable time and effort in the production of this informative video. In case you haven't notice it but you been doing algebraic calculation with budgie mutations!.
Beautiful i need to see the vid more to understand the variety of combinations but just because it is a lot of informations, as usual you are very clear. Ps go to your email I have sent you a jumbo with the vids it will be available 13teen days before expiring.
I have 2 male Yellowface budgies :-) - 9 month old Single Factor Yellowface Type 2, Opaline - 6 month old Single Factor Yellowface Type 1, Opaline, Spangle, Recessive Pied when i first got the second one, i thought his mutation was a combinations of: Creamino, Recessive Pied, Spangle & Opaline LMAO I have to agree, the Yellowface mutation is one of the most confusing budgie mutation ever.
Omg budgies are so so complex XD i have two-natural green male and yellow face budgie with purple body and light-brownish dots. Just as you had on video example :3
I had a normal blue budgie, and a normal green one. The blue one had a normal white face, then later on it started turing yellow. Nothing bad happened to her but that, and she's totally fine. I think.

I have what I thought was an opaline violet hen but changed the light in the bird room to a "real light" that is supposed to give more true lighting and suddenly this hen had a pale yellow look to her head. I asked someone else to look at her in the normal light and in this light and they could see the difference too. I wonder what we miss by not seeing them in more natural light. Don't really need anything just thought I'd share the experience. I think I'm going to have to watch this one several times to get it all. Thank you for these videos about the colors and genetics.
I wish RUclips could allow photos. My Lucky might be a Single Factor Yellow-Face Type 2, but looking at all these budgies with this Mutation, I'm not so sure. Because he has an interesting looking pattern on his whole body.
I have a year old pair that is a creamino female with a normal green male and I’m getting another one year old pair today that is an albino female and a blue (I think recessive) pied budgie. What should I expect from these parings? I plan on keeping one of the male offspring for my young albino female that just lost her partner that I was going to let them breed at 1 year. None of my birds are related.
My creamino female and normal green male had only one egg hatch and it was a normal green male. I read that their son can have ino babies and his girlfriend is a normal blue. I haven't bred them yet (too young). The green male that mated with the creamino had two babies with a year prior with a dilute cobalt female that had a possible violet factor. Both the male and female offspring of his with the dilute are dark greens, so I think he is most likely DD (double normal green).
Its been a year since I've commented on this. But I had a very interesting theory that I think my breeding efforts could support: You *can* technically breed a Yellowface of the Single Factor by only breeding a Budgie of the Visual Dominant yellow gene with a Visual Recessive blue. I had a Cobalt Female Breed with a Diluted Recessive Pied Yellow Male and... two of the offspring came out as (Single Factor) Yellowface Type 2. So it strengthened my theory but didn't confirm it.
I will need to review this video many times to get it. There is just so much information, and of course my current budgies' mutations may or may not visually pop up in their offspring. I was so surprised when my dominant pied dark factor male fathered four lutino out of six babies, one dark factor dominant pied green and one dark factor green in his first nest. The mother was a normal blue opaline hen. None of the young show signs of blue, but I am assuming that all of the male offspring will carry the blue and opaline, but the lutinos will be hens without the blue. Not sure if the blue is on her Y chromosome. Maybe the father does carry white factor, but it only went to one of the lutino hens. ????????? It just goes to show that recessives can pass through multiple generations without appearing.
all the offspring will carry the blue gene since they take it from the mother, however if the father is Bl,Bl, rather than Bl,bl then you will never see a blue coming out of these 2
Yes you can, but it might take a while until I get to your email, if you need faster answer, you can join our facebook group where a lot of people will help you
I have two yellow faced budgies. One is names Emma after Emma from the promised never land. And I'm still thinking on the boys name. But I don't wanna name both buddies from the same show. So I'm thinking on tanjuro or just milo
I have a male budgie names Skye, he is under a year old. He is our only bird, as he was a Christmas gift for my daughter, from my father. He is a free range bird lol! We do not pick him in his cage, but the last month has been hell! He has been humping anything and everything, biting and the worst thing is he is attacking out little Chihuahua who is an old man. Skye never did this before to our dog, so I do not understand what is going on. Skye also follows me everywhere, and attacks everyone who comes near. I don't know if I should keep him locked in his cage more? Get another budgie? I don't know what to do, I do not want to give him to someone else. I would worry about him to much.
Out of my 22 budgies. I only have 2 that are green and the other blue. The rest of them are all colored mutated. I call them my miniature mutants that will rule the world lol
Sir please help my budgie is not eating He is sleeping all the time And cannot even stand on legs himself ( Note - We change our place to another place ) Please help sir 🙏🙏
Please take your bird to a vet. They can check and see if your bird has an infection or something else. My budgies go to the avian vet twice a year for check ups and if not feeling well too. Would be life or death for your bird. I really hope your bird is ok!

8:34 did you make a video about rainbow budgies yet?
I got confused!!! at first how to get a yellow face budgie from a white face budgie???
Have u done the rainbow video yet ?
These are one among the tricky mutations. I think your video helps to which one is which.
Thank you very much for the helpful video
if a lutino has single factor yellow face 1 gene, would they be a paler yellow than a lutino without?
My budgie is a SF YF2 recessive pied. She still has a little blue on her lower belly and under her tail.
The double factor yellow face 2 is my birb btw
Superb and fabulous 👏👏
When you will upload video about Rainbow budgie??
I love your Channel
Thank you!
Thanks so much!
I had a normal blue budgie, and a normal green one. The blue one had a normal white face, then later on it started turing yellow. Nothing bad happened to her but that, and she's totally fine. I think.
The Australian Budgie was originally green then when in captivity changed to the other colours. In our scrub/bush they are green still
Wow. so knowledgeable
Can I produce goldenface budgie from yellowface budgies? How is goldenface budgie produced if I don't have a goldenface budgie?

Hello, the thank you golden face blue, transmits it you have children by pairing a normal green and a blue face white, or I misunderstood
Hypothetically, would a yellowface/goldenface albino budgie be white with a yellow head?
Hi, i was just wondering what type/colour rainbows they are at the 8:41 mark?

Is it possible to produce clear wing?
Lace wing if it's clear wouldn't it be an albino white or yellow? My friend has a lacewing white. Beautiful budgies
What should I do my budgies always beg for food there is food in the cage but they Want lettuce or leaf to eat every time?????

well the first step would be, not letting him anywhere near your dog, you don't know when your dog will snap and kill the poor little bird.
I was searching for comment saying"hey thats my bird"🙄🙄
