The comments on Na’ba’s troops are a great learning moment and your camel tatics do have a point. I would like to point out that there is a strategic element to consider with their map movement and their versatile kit. So a Na’ba player should consider what is the best way to build and then spend a camel rider force. So I think that points towards how very useless the ordinary Na’ba troops are when you really want the camels due their multiple threat and good map movement power they have. So I do argue that they are a bit too op that it flattens the roster, but honestly just make it so they’re more like camels irl. Give them a cause unrest debuff, give them an animal fear effect, less animal attack stats, and a weakness to cold fatigue and stay debuff of -1 per scale. 11:33
Yeah, I could see all that. That said Na'Ba's roster is a lot deeper than most nations, so having 2 troop types that generally just fill behind avvites if they get made at all isn't the worst. Camels do feel a bit strong, but I think it helps them play their role well. I wish more light cav in the game were that useful rather than nerfing the camels. It would be really cool to see animal fear for camels. That'd be a really cool new tag, or I guess they could do animal awe but fear seems more right to me.
@@DarkSideCookies Yeah I agree with the light cav point and I think it would be a great way to diversify the cav game because it makes morale plays that have been a bit of a cav weakpoint into a defined gameplay strategy. I also think that Na'ba could use a light cav horse that is a saber but that focus's on slashing troops off the flanks. In fact it would be nice if we could get cav tactics as well as infantry tactics more involved in this game. but we'll probably have to wait many more editons of Dominions later.
@@jamesbeus598 I would love more scripting options. There's a lot of RNG at the moment, but more control let's players really dive more into strategy rather than stuff like, "I hope my mage isn't an idiot today." Small things like "cast buffs", or "cast evos." For light cavalry, I think it would be neat if they charged, and then withdrew to the back of the map to get more lances unless the enemy squad broke.
@@DarkSideCookies Honestly I hope they don't add universal lance reequips but rather make it a trait. That way the number could also be controlled. Also I think it would be cooler if you had a book of acceptable off script spells the mage can cast. Like a limited number of slots. Maybe even make it so once higher levels are reached another spell slot could be learned.
Hindsight is 20 20 but I think you should have attacked Abyssia and, if not, then Vanarus later. Would have made your empire less spaghettified and given you better position in the game.
@@DarkSideCookies I would lean towards Van mostly because of you had better frontage with his territory and it was less secure for you to declare on pyrene just for Van to sneak attack.

I agree. I'm still divided on Vanarus or Pyrene though

@@jamesbeus598 That sounds super reasonable yeah
