Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see more videos on the channel about how to play 7th chords on guitar (maybe with the root on the D string?)
Why does this have so little likes and comments?!?! He literally said every important chord positions for 7th chords in 8 minutes, I looked at multiple videos and none were as short yet so much information.
This lesson is gold and this video should have far more views and comments. You have yourself a new subscriber! I just wrote out all of the shapes that you showed in my notebook, and it will be a valuable resource to me moving forward. Cheers!
nice vid man, I knew the shapes but some of them I haven't used in a long time, it's great to recap some of these shapes and put them to use again, good job! For the minor 7s as in 2X222X I prefer to do them with my index on the root, then fingers 2,3,4 on the next notes (as you would do in a normal major chord rooted in A string, except for the tonic), having index (1) muting the fifth string and pinky (4) muting the first string
You missed the C shape of the Minor 7th. It's basically the shape you showed first for the Dominant 7th, but you bar the 2nd and 4th string with your index. Very important shape to know.

Whats the difference between a B7 and Bmaj7?
The 7th on a B7 (Bdom7) is a semitone lower than on a Bmaj7 if you're still wondering
thanks man!@@NotFine
