Nothing else. You'll never see anybody bluff this spot.

The guy didn't play it very confidently at all, i don't think playing more aggressive as that guy would have helped since he had the king but definitely didn't help his case
In game theory, on mini-max strategy or minimizing your maximum loss. He should've fold... because he already got the hint that he is in the losing side. And this is also a sunk cost fallacy. If you think you lose dont bet again because you already bet so much that you need to see it happen

The games we used to run, you couldn’t talk like that about the game. There was no vocal bluffs or reads etc. we never allowed it as it saved on everyone staying honorable and no fights would start. That’s the way we did it. Been out of that for years but it is what it is

Alright can someone explain why he won? I've never played poker so I'm sure I'm missing something. But to my knowledge you had a flush plus Jack high card, he had a flush plus Ace high card. Shouldn't he have won? Its not like you had a straight flush so i dont see why having the King over the Jack makes a difference to the flush

it wasn't the top pair that got him in trouble it was the 3rd highest flush and there's no queen on border or king so our PoV had the king flush... had nothing to do with the pair of aces...
Question from a noob here. So if say the other guy had two diamonds in his hand, but didn't have anything as high as this guys King, would he still loose? Or how does that work? I've never really played and I've always been confused about it. I understand you can use one from your hand and 4 from the table right? But if the guy filming only has a King of Diamonds in this situation and say the other guy had a Jack of Diamonds and maybe a 10 of Diamonds (something less than King) in his hand, would he win since he has two in hand? Or does it not matter?
Doesnt matter. Best 5 card combo wins. Someone with 2 diamonds would just mean he flopped the flush and someone with 1 diamond just means he made his (better) flush on the turn
Yeah doesn’t matter at all. They both have a flush, so it then is determined by who has the highest card in that flush. They both have the A from the board, so goes onto the next highest. His next highest is K while other guys is J, so he wins since K is higher
