    This is a great live rendition of a great song. The album, "I Speak Because I Can" from which this song is taken, is quite brilliant. Please take a view of Justin's reaction/review of the studio version of, "Goodbye England" on the, "JustJP" channel.

    If she was half naked singing stupid pop or hip-pop or rap kind of songs with two or three phrases each this video would have millions of views. Because she's just one of the best modern folk singers and song writers the majority don't even have the skills to appreciate her. Well, better this way... We'll keep her to us.

      There is absolutely no need to bash other genres to praise her. You sound just as ignorant as you probably think "pop music" fans are.

      @@owenhu9465 You seem as naive as you probably are if you think all kinds of music are equally valuable. I was talking about the kind of easy "stupid pop or hip-pop or rap kind of songs with two or three phrases each" music. You know, the 99% of it that is rubbish... To appreciate "better music", like all forms of art, you need to educate yourself, to be open to hear increasingly more elegant, original, intelligent and complex material. On the other hand, ignorance about music, or art, or culture in general, does not make you instantly a worst or a better human being, so I was not judging the fans, just pointing that they don't have the experience, the cognitive tools and knowledge to appreciate her. Just like you don't seem to have the calm to read carefully and understand my statement.

    • @owenhu9465
      @owenhu9465 4 года назад +3

      @@bruno_dias Ah yes, indie folk music is more important than stupid pop, hip hop and other genres that define this generation and empower countless people.
      Alas, I knew this was a lost cause when you wrote a paragraph to try to "explain" music appreciation. You seem to focus a lot on the cognitive implication of your comment when I was simply pointing out your associating pop, hip hop, rap as being "stupid", risque, and of little substance.

      @@bruno_dias By the way, if you think it takes experience and education to enjoy Laura marling, then you have listened to very little music.

    • @bruno_dias
      @bruno_dias 4 года назад

      @@owenhu9465 Yes, "pop, hip hop, rap" is, in general, most of the time, of little substance. At least the "pop, hip hop, rap" songs that the majority of less educated people, in musical terms, enjoy. It happens in all areas of art. And yes, Laura Marling's music, while not a complex form of music, is extremely well carved in so many aspects that is miles ahead of the innocuous and sterile "pop, hip hop, rap" kind of stupid music the vast majority of people enjoy. Please bear in mind this is my subjective consideration and it may seem of little substance to you, just like I find the "pop, hip hop, rap" type of music of very little substance, in general. I don't think entire generations are defined by it or feel empowered by it, fortunately, even if they like that type of music. Many may feel that way though and use it as a social statement, sometimes in a good way sometimes in a bad way. Still, none of that makes it good music. Please don't be offended if that is not your assessment of the quality of the mainstream "pop, hip hop, rap". Its not personal.

    I love this song, but it’s better stopped down. This is a poor version of a good song.
