      That's not why this was wrong. Water flow is used to run hydro-electric generator wheels. Maybe you've seen or heard of a water wheel or a water mill? What the guy did was exactly what you have in your home plumbing system, but in reverse. He constructed a MacGyver hydro distribution system. It became popular in the late 1900s. Not really seen around anymore. What it does is, it keeps you entertained and watching for view count. Then you watch it over again to make sure you didn't miss something. The ol bait n switch. Just like this comment. See ya all on the next one. ✊ P.S. read this comment in reverse and it reveals the answer.

    obviously he has water pressure to fill the bottles. So the issue he seems to be fixing is a flow problem and the bottles are used in place of an accumulator to provide more water volume for a short period of time. All that extra pvc would have been just as cheap to use a single accumulator. An accumulator is similar to a pressure tank but it's main purpose is to provide more volume for a limited time rather than a steady pressure .

  • @qualcunoacaso4865
    @qualcunoacaso4865 Год назад +376

    He has pressure to fill the bottles, this doesn't increase the pressure of anything. Just if he close the source, he will have pressure for about maybe 1 or 2 seconds, since those bottles are only storing pressure but are too small to be useful. In comments they even talked about a storage for water, but it doesn't make sense because the bottles are too small and to be somewhat useful the tank should be (first of all bigger and) above the tap, so the water will come out without air bubbles and the weight of the water may give more pressure, depends by how tall it is (but if he has pressure to fill a tank maybe in the roof of his house, i don't think he will need it anyway, unless he has frequents problems with water/electricity and he wants to have some backup)

    • @trevormynatt3466
      @trevormynatt3466 Год назад +8

      What you just explained is why water towers are tall. That’s all I knew about them is every foot above ground water creates pressure just by gravity . I learned it at a waste water treatment plant I worked at and all I did was cut their grass

    • @dmitriyporisenkov7657
      @dmitriyporisenkov7657 Год назад

      here the point is apparently that when released, the bottles are not filled with air and the vacuum is maintained - but this will work for short-term inclusions until the level of water in the bottles drops to a critically low level wash your hands fill the bucket but do not water the paths and the garden

    • @D-Vinko
      @D-Vinko Год назад +7

      Your explanation is completely unnecessary. He had a hose connected to it. Your explanation is also fundamentally wrong. Water pressure cannot climb higher than its source; the collective pressure of those bottles doesnt combine, they're all separate reference frames and dont add any back pressure relative to the distance theyre covering. Why are water towers ALWAYS on top, or taller than, every building they supply? You're welcome.

    • @D-Vinko
      @D-Vinko Год назад +3

      @@dmitriyporisenkov7657It won't do anything. The water is not going above the water level you see in the bottles. When he turns it on, he is just letting the already present hose pressure push the water out.

    • @cristianvitale897
      @cristianvitale897 Год назад +1

      @@D-Vinko
      He's no saying that. This is the thing.
      The remaining part of the bottles are partially filled with air. When he opens the source the bottles are filled part with part water and part air, the air compresses equating the internal pressure of the source.
      If the source loses pressure, the air that's still compressed will expand maintaining the previous internal pressure until it's expansion equate the resistance (the height plus the load loss) then it will stop coming out.
      Now, the pressure lost is directly proportional to the expansion of the air (after the lose of the original pressure) if you have a bigger tank, you'll need to evacuate more water in order to expand the air the same percentage, so as a result you'll have the original pressure more time.

    All right people! He didn't create electricity or pressurize the system. There was already either a pumping device or an elevated storage tank hidden from view. What he did do, by making the system have an entrapped gas, was to give the system capacity. Remember, you cannot compress a liquid. This will stabilize the pressure, allow the pump to cycle on and off, and may even prevent leaks, because PVC piping and glue joint don't like pressure spikes.

    For people thinking this is useless, look up a ram pump. He creates added pressure cause the water rises into the bottle and makes the air inside of it compress, then the valve opens and that compressed air pushes the water through the pipe. Once pressure runs out the bottle will be crumpled again, and you close the valve and let it refill. Automated non electric systems similar to this can continuously pump water 24/7 uphill.

    For who dont get it immediately: The bottles store enough water for a constant water pressure until they are empty by using the water. The time water is off it can accumulate in the bottles. The pressure is good for work and nit weak for the first, but it can empty.
    It is usual to have a electric water pump with a pot for the right water pressure. The electric pump would automatically reffill the pot before pressure would decrease..
    This system should use no current, so it is free. Its not about producing current here.

    I don’t know who titled the video, but it’s clearly irrelevant, so we can just ignore it altogether. I’m a plumber, and I see what he actually did, which is cool! So, I’m guessing that initially they were suffering from low water pressure at that spigot. What he’s done here is improvise a pressure expansion tank, which uses the compressed air in the bottles to increase the water pressure coming out of the tap. He must have a check valve upstream from the bottles, because otherwise the pressure would just go backwards. Good job, guy! I’m sorry someone put a bad title on your video and now everyone is talking shit. Cool gloves, by the way! I want some.

      @@amitpandeysg2 Ha! A ram pump is "wasting water" only if you are planning on pumping out 100% of the flow of the river or stream! Who ever expects or even wants a pump to do that ?
      No water is "wasted" if all you're doing is using the momentum of some of the water to pump some of the water.
      What value, usefulness or characteristic of the unpumped water has been lost ?
      It's gravity that causes the river to flow and gravity will quickly restore the speed of the flow after you have diverted some of its momentum. What damage was done by use of that 100% clean, renewable solar energy that lifted water in the atmosphere where gravity could eventually collect it & channel it in flowing water ?
      Conceptually you are claiming a ram pump is a waste of gravity !
      You aren't unnecessarily wasting electricity or fuel in an engine driven pump when you are accomplishing the same thing by clever use of the immediately replenished momentum of flowing water.
      A ram pump "wasting water" is conceptually just as illogical as claiming a wind turbine is "wasting wind".
      How do you justify your objection to ram pumps when being compared to other methods that don't require electricity ? I can think of some, but not that they "waste water" !
