Right! On top of that, UFC 4 is when they took away clinch denials. You could push their hands away from grabbing you. Now there’s no clinch denials. Automatically if you reach for a clinch you get it. You gotta perfectly time a punch now to stop it 😭

And that's how it should be. Heavyweight throwing 120-150 punches every round without gassing out is just nonsense. In lower weight classes some have an output up to 200 strikes each round they dond gas aswell. Ea made every fighter Holloway and volks stamina with the power of ngannou. Ufc 5 is just nonsense
UFC 3 was fun and it is where I spent a lot of time learning about mma. It did have its issues though (i.e. ground stamina and standing stamina being separate stats), but I really enjoyed it. UFC 3 with head movement while blocking would have been dope. One thing I do miss from UFC 3 is the ability to make cafs without an archetype. I used to enjoy just making random fighters and using them offline whenever I was bored.

Anyone notice how in the 1st round this man was losing his mind? now if pry was able to see his stamina, he would been laughing this goof. Question, where do you think that man's stamina would have been in the 2nd round? And this game "ENCOURGED" body shots to drain your opponent stamina if they got too aggressive. Great video pry, but can you do a stamina Comparision from UFC 3 to UFC 4 to UFC 5 and maybe that will convince EA to CHANGE THE STAMINA SYSTEM!!!
I’ve been saying this I wish enough of us would ban together and start a discord etc to get the servers back active in ufc3. Way better mechanics, clinch system, ground system, suplex takedowns, suplex to armbar etc.. if enough of us went back it will show the devs what we are looking for goin forward. I even enjoyed the Ultimate Team mode and getting different packs for different moves etc. just such a better game.
i do find it a bit crazy that they went transition based with the submissions in ufc 5, but didnt wanna go back to transition based clinch. 3 was def the most fun game for sure (to me)
Is UFC 3’s striking that much better than 2’s ? I like UFC 2 because of the way you can throw combinations and the punches weren’t as perfect like real life. It was a bit arcadey and had its flaws but if UFC gives me that feeling then I’ll get that one too. 4 and 5 suck

i still play this over 4 and 5, i tried 4 and i was heart broken and got on 3, then when 5 came out i was crushed i lost faith in seeing a decent mma game, so now im just on 3 with a damn out dated roster, but i rather have a out dated roster then shitty casual gameplay

I 1000% agree that they took out all the movement on the ground because people were getting slaughtered by other skilled players. Ground/ clinch game had very little skill gap in these new games and it sucks. As someone that played hundreds of hours of UFC 2 and 3 and took the time to learn all the grappling it really sucks that they took it out the last 2 games. UFC 5 is honestly one of the most disappointing games I think I’ve ever personally experienced. I really thought they’d change things up

Aa far as the clinch certain fighters with high clinch stats like silva could go clinch directly into Thai clinch instead of only single collar 1st. You could hold l1 or r1 and could whip the opponent to the left or right and continue kneeing them. It was way better than 4
Bro ufc 4 was such a disappointment compared to ufc 3. Competitive is one thing but ufc 3 also had ultimate team which I loved. Its still f'd up that they removed ultimate team. From year to year the game gets weaker 😢
Ufc 3 was always the best for me. If you get stunned you cant just hit him with an overhead and shit goes in your favour. When you get punched you cant just go forward and continue the fight.
The only reason I don't play ufc 3 is because the fps sucks in my xbox series s. I don't understand why it is capped at 30, if ufc 5 runs at 60 without problems
Geoff harrower was the main developer of this game an pretty much built it from the start of the series an was one of the few developers that had a passion for mma once he left the series went to crap
I just bought a PS5 last night and bought UFC 5 with it. Ive played all five games games pre ordered UFC 3 and 4. Dispite having lots of fun the game feels like it has the damage and pace of UFC 2 with the feeling of UFC 3. Its weird but I can tell ill get bored fast. Glad I bought UFC 5 on a 40% sale
Takes a while to get into a match but once you get it... the game feels real way more than 4 and 5. Apart from the cheesy busted grappling and submissions on UFC3 💀
I preferred UFC 3. I have only just started on UFC 4. I am far behind. UFC 3 feels alot better to play than UFC 4 in my view. Although I'm cleaning up on Stand up and Bang on UFC 4 after playing 3 for so long :).
Yeah the clinch was better like this, despite the lack of fluidity. If you were good in fhe clinch you could protect yourself and change the course of the fight.

Ufc 5 got a mind of its own, you can't play how you want to. You have to use what works with the tracking and connection.
