What Did I Find Wrong With My New 6s Box?! - Matco Triple Bank Delivery Day

- So my brand new Matco 6s triple bank with full hutch and full locker got delivered about a month ago now. Here is a time lapse of my Matco dealer delivering it on a Sunday evening in order to miss a massive snow storm that comping week. I then took that night and the following Monday to move everything over from the old 5s into the new box.
Disclaimer:
There is a few things that were not up to snuff on the box and my dealer is awesome and fought to get all 3 pieces replaced. You can see my coworker and I discussing something that I found unacceptable on my new tool box! Watch close at 4:45 - 5:15... Then you can see me spot something at 6:35 also! I’ll she’d a little more light on these issues in their own video.

I greatly appreciate that! I'll post a quick run through the drawers soon. But I'll be honest Matco is replacing the whole box due to some issues with it so I won't be doing a full tour until the replacement shows up! I'll also shed more light into what was wrong with it and how/if they make good on it then too!

@@WalkerKlondyke My dealer is a pretty solid dude and I think it will all get squared away but we shall find out soon hopefully!
Really nice box and choice. Had the 5s and absolutely loved it? Always liked the 5 and 6 series over any other box in existence? My 56" x 25" bottom weighs 636 lbs. empty, the P.O.S. I ended up with, after having to sell it, was a 72" x 22" HF. It only weighs 525, so that should say enough about what a quality box Matco makes?

@Davidweinberg-cm9xd My old box was a 5s and I loved it, 12 years and it had zero issues. I’m hoping the quality of the new on is on the same level and I can get another 10-15 years if not longer out of this new setup. I definitely had some things I was not stoked about with how the new box was delivered. But my dealer is great and is working on having matco make right on them. So we’ll see how that all pans out soon I hope!
@@williamuskoski1385 Tools no, you’re correct. But the boxes are absolutely made 4 hours from my house here in NY 🤘🏼 Which is part of why I like matco boxes.
So… what did you find wrong? I figured with that being the title, watching the whole video would tell the answer?
HAHAHA I apologize for a bit of click bait there! But I also don't really want to blast anything out there before I know for sure that I've been taken care of or the issues have been made right. Every company can mess something up, Its how they deal with it that matters most to me. So until its squared away I'm not going to bash them.
Really nice toolbox really love the green. Hope to get same as that. How much did it cost you for everything??
So I can tell you I had a wicked trade in. If you take that out of the equation this triple bank, hutch and full locker was just under $22k. Out the door after my trade in I only paid about $8k

@@Liljoker10 The price out the door is the only reason I did it lol, the new box was like $2000 more than adding lockers to my old 5s and I would have had to get black lockers because the sublime green is discontinued. So at that point it was kind of a no brainer. My plan is to add a second locker to the new 6s and I should have plenty of space for years to come. I'm going to do a quick drawer run through of the new one soon and I will do a full tour eventually. But as the description on the video states there is a few things that I was not happy with (I'll make a separate video on that soon) so matco is actually replacing the entire new setup.

The older 5s I had I wouldn’t blink an eye at buying, honestly if the replacement for this new 6s comes in and it’s the quality I’m hoping to see than yes, but until it’s taken care of and completely squared away I’m going to wait to make that judgement.
