    I have used this same nebulizer system for three to four years. First time I have seen to boil the medicine cup to disinfect. I do wash mine pretty regularly and have back up nebulizer cups. This Philips Respironics is a work horse as I have used the same unit every three to four hours day and night for the last three to four years. I did have a panic moment once when I turned it on and nothing happened. I wiped the air intake with a damp cloth and changed the filter and then it worked fine again. That experience prompted me to buy another Philips Respironics unit - just in case. That was a year ago and the new unit is still in the box, but I'm glad I have it, you never know.

      Is it quiet?

    • @TheBluewaterBlonde
      @TheBluewaterBlonde 4 года назад +1

      @@jazminajoy9853 Pretty quiet. It has a low humming motor sound, but when it's on I don't have to turn up the music or the TV volume. It also depends on what it's sitting on. If I have it on a soft surface, like an arm chair or a bed, then it's like a low growling motor sound. The sound is better when the unit is on a hard surface like a table. But yes, it does have that low humming motor sound. BTW, I decided to put a nebulizer in every room and its compact size and good looks allow it to fit into any room.

      TheBluewaterBlonde thank you so much! My last two nebulizers were pacifica nebulizers! And they sounded like angry old men snoring! I typically ended up wearing headphones for whenever I needed to take my medication lol. I just bought two of these so I’m excited to use them (hopefully I DONT HAVE to use them) lol

      @@jazminajoy9853 Hopefully you won't have to use them I agree. But it's a nice feeling that you have something you can turn to that helps you breathe again if you should.

    You know I've been using this thing now for like 2 years and up until yesterday I had no idea it needed a filter! There was no little filter in the box that it came in so I just left the little hole open wondering what it was for but yesterday I talked to one of my doctors and they asked me about my filter and I was like what the heck are you talkin about and she told me to look at the side of it and I said that the only thing there is a hole LOL so they sent me another filter now I'm using it with the filter I mean shit I didn't even know that I could prop my mouthpiece up on the system itself unfortunately the handset I'm using now doesn't let me do that...🤣🤣🤣
    Also just curious why can't you use the one with the dark blue top for more than 2 weeks? I mean would anything happen if you did? I don't even have that one or the original mouthpiece it came with I was told I need to order them again once every few months and the ones they sent when I ordered more was the one with the really long piece the light blue one broke on me a while back whenever it was plugged in as soon as I turned the thing on the tube would just pop off and disconnect as soon as it started putting air pressure out of it.

      Hello, Per the instructions from the manufacturer, it is recommended that you replace the Sidestream Disposable Nebulizers every 2 weeks. Take care.

      @@DirectHomeMedical yeah but when you get your Replacements do you need to ask them for the kind that will go into that little holder because they keep sending me the ones with that really long mouthpiece and those I can't use the hold up on the side. Also is the reason it was not working that great for the first couple of years was because I didn't have a filter in that little hole? It didn't come with one in the box at all I had no idea what it was for up until the other day when I was talking to somebody that works in pathology or something I think is what it's called and they asked me about my filter and I was like what do you mean the filter do I need to open it up to find it and they said no there should be a little hole in the side with it and I was like no I just have a big hole where I can feel air being sucked through

    i do wish they would speak to use the users before making Nebs that are useless yeah they may pump out the med o.k but say you got kids or the grandchildren down at that fantastic age where there into everything you can not close the lid and hide all the mask and meds away and still have it ready to go you can't have it set up in the car lid down but ready to go the older one may have been a tad heaver but not much but it had great usability and was safer for children's little noise fingers and you could have some neb meds in there stored too even fit my epipen too

      Hello Mr O, You might want to consider the InnoSpire Deluxe. It is larger than the other InnoSpire Neb Kits; but it's also got a handle and an inner compartment with lid for storing various supplies. It sounds like just what you're after so I've linked it below. Take care!
