Question could you help explain this question Ex 3-9 - Endospore Stain 24 hour and 48 hour sporulating agar slant pure cultures of Bacillus cereus? Our class doesn’t have a lab what would you see
No, the DNA is just sequestered away inside the protein coat of the endospore. The vegetative cell dies as the protected DNA in the endospore is ejected. This helps us understand why bacteria produce endospores when they are under stress as a method of surviving (dormant) through tough times.
Hi, thanks, it really help. I have questions: 1) other bacteria that could not create endospore will die when the environment could not support their live? anybody could help?

You are so good, of course I am subscribing.
Factors affecting sporulation !! Can anyone guide?

is the DNA replicated in the vegetative cell for the spore formation? o
