    HI! Can a spore that has germinated in a bacterium become spores again, if the conditions have become unfavorable for it again?

    What happen to bacteria after the release of spore

    is the DNA replicated in the vegetative cell for the spore formation? o

    • @susannaheinze
      @susannaheinze  7 лет назад +2

      No, the DNA is just sequestered away inside the protein coat of the endospore. The vegetative cell dies as the protected DNA in the endospore is ejected. This helps us understand why bacteria produce endospores when they are under stress as a method of surviving (dormant) through tough times.

    Hi, thanks, it really help. I have questions:
    1) other bacteria that could not create endospore will die when the environment could not support their live?
    anybody could help?

    what do they mean by vegetative cell?

    • @evansbwalya8879
      @evansbwalya8879 5 лет назад

      it is a cell which is actively growing rather than forming spores.
