    Slapping the grass off your lure on the water’s surface , right where you intend to fish, miiiiiight not be your best idea. Good luck man.👍

    Have you caught any panfish back there?

    • @ReelTimeWithTimm
      @ReelTimeWithTimm  2 года назад +1

      Yes! Bluegill are a very nice size. I have caught several over a pound. Night crawlers work great for them, but also for bass and trout.

    It sucks we can’t access that area with a car.

      I agree. Do u think they’ll ever open it again? It’s been closed about 20 years.

    Love the bike bro! One question, does Silverwood have a lot of algae? I drop shot for bass but it becomes a hassle when there is a bunch of algae.

    • @ReelTimeWithTimm
      @ReelTimeWithTimm  2 года назад +1

      Thanks bro! It’s a cool little way to get out there. I know the algae thing can be a huge turnoff. It’s hard to avoid from shore. It’s tough for me too because I used to know a guy who caught most of his fish literally in the algae! Topwater got one to come out and play.
      Anyways, I went to the Kern River and was surprised by the drop in water due to construction on the dam. It made for okay fishing, but not like I remembered two years ago.

      Thanks for all the info brother. If you make it out to Kern again, let me know. I'll show you some honey holes if you promise to keep them secret! Keep those lines tight brother!

    Do you go past the Marina when you get into Silverwood?

    • @ReelTimeWithTimm

      Yes, sometimes I go past the marina to get into Silverwood. The wind picks up sometimes very quickly up there so the closer I can get to Miller’s Canyon, the better fishing.
