Roxalena Piedra yep as a child I resentful started to soak my feet in warm water in the morning and in the after noon and just that helped the terrible smell
There is an antimicrobial shoe insole called PodoPhylus that slowly releases iodine and kill bacteria dead ☠️. You place them in the shoe inside a big Mylar bag for 24 to 48 hours. Then, you remove them, put them in the resealable pouch and repeat as necessary. In the pouch, they last months. Or you can remove the old stinky insoles and replace them with the PodoPhylus insoles.
Don’t walk barefoot even in the home without washing your feet before putting on shoes. People walk around without shoes and then put on their shoes this causes dirt and bacteria to get inside the shoe. Same with socks, alway put on clean socks before putting on shoes. Never wear them without socks, ever!
Good, quick info except when you recommend •►put them in a cotton sock which absorbs moisture quite nicely, keeps it off the foot so those bacteria can't multiply and produce that bad odor◄• 100% wrong. There might be nothing worse than cotton for excessive sweating, foot odor, athlete’s foot, and general foot comfort than cotton. Fifty years ago the common knowledge might have been “white cotton” for such things, primarily because the socks could be boiled and bleached (sterilized), but wool (no, it’s not hot or scratchy, especially Merino) and modern synthetics like polyester (as in CoolMax socks and others) and Olefin (Drymax and others) are far, far superior to cotton, which is the worst at wicking moisture away from the skin.
