I love that your last book of the year made the list and you loved it! Great picks, Amy. I think you always give the books you love justice and understand wanting to move on to 2024 🥳
Dead of Winter is the only thriller I read this year that I actually enjoyed, and I didn't even care that the twist was pretty easy to figure out early on. It was a really fun one and I'm glad you enjoyed it too!
Oh interesting I've never heard or seen the Reading Survey before so this is cool and unique to me! Gneeeeeelllllfs! I LOVE The Cipher so much haha, but yeah Bunnicula had to be it for you! Yeah Sager is a no go for me too hahaha. This was great!
I’m not sure why Mr Giggles isn’t on the list but whatevs 😂 You had a great year! I loved Edenville and also can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next. I still need to get to Our Wives Under the Sea and Rouge. 😩 Great video Amy!
awesome picks! i had exactly the same thoughts as you about cassandra khaw. nothing but blackened teeth was such a huge letdown for me, but i ended up loving the dark fairy tale/fantasy vibes of the salt grows heavy. then i also found out she writes for a horror game that i adore (world of horror) so i'm really excited to see what she does in the future! 💜
Hi Amy. New subscriber here. Coming over after a shout-out from Fiberartsy. Great video! So many horror titles and authors I wasn't familiar with! You've piqued my interest for Edenville. Thanks for sharing.
Would you recommend Episode Thirteen if I didn't enjoy Suffer the Children? I usually like to give authors more than one chance but I'm wondering if Craig DiLouie just isn't for me and I don't wanna read another book that I don't really like if its a me thing not an author thing.
I haven't read Suffer The Children yet and Im unsure of what your issue with it was, so thats hard to guess. But I know its written very differently. If you like ghost hunters type shows, topics of life after death, and mixed media books (the book is about a show like that and is written in interviews, video transcripts, etc) then Id say it couldnt hurt to give it a try. If you like audiobooks, its full cast with sounds and music. Its a fun listen.
@@AmyNoelleReads I didn't really have any true issues with Suffer the Children I just couldn't get connected to the characters so I ended up bored and I'm wondering is it just that story or is the author not for me. But since you say its written differently I think I'll give it a try and see :D
Yesss! The Cipher was wild!! I still think about that book all the time 😂 Dead of Winter was so fun!! I loved all those kills! ❄️🩸 We have a lot in common with our favorites! GNELFS FOREVER!
