I love you so much Dr Campbell, you've been a blessing to me, you make science so simple and fun. You are a real educator. God bless you and your family. Long live Dr. Campbell
It s amazing that I went to school for Sports and Medicine because I was curious of how my body function . Un fortunately, I found things hard to grasp and therefore, lost interest. I however, came into these videos and everything seems so simple and exciting to understand. Thank you so much Dr. Campbell for your extraordinary explanation. I wish that you was my teacher while I was in school.
Hello, Doc. Just recently accidentally came across your well illustrated educational videos, and I am already a better high school biology teacher. You are my biology role model. Thank you so much.
Sir Mr.Dr Campbell, a thesaurus of the Science knowledge.. It is our great pride to be in your sessions. Thank you so much for everything that you do for us.. Stay blessed long long years..to educate generations high.. Love you so much sir.
This is a brilliant video that explains in layman's terms how co2 and O is exchanged from blood to air and vice versa. The Doc makes it simple to understand. When we know how our bodies work, hopefully we will respect and take care of them.
Beautiful presentation and explanation. 78 years old spouse is recommended to undergo pulmonary test which as lay man can’t understand. Fortunately, I got access to your channel, watched the respiratory system and endeavoured to understand about recommended test and is beautifully understood what the procedure can be.
Thanks Dr. Campbell make Animal physiology much more simplest. After a long time I can understand circulatory system. I will never forget this lecture.
Outstanding lecture!! We are learning about the respiratory system in my medical terminology class and these videos are a great supplement! It's really helping me understand the function of the respiratory system. Thank you so much for taking the time to post your lectures!
Thank you Dr. Campbell for your well thought out youtube videos which have helped me enormously in my study of physiology. I am struggling to get a good understanding on the effects of gas exchange in high altitude environment and hope you could include this topic in your new videos. Thank you
You are a legend! You actually make the gas exchange process easy to understand! I couldn't understand it until watching this video! Thank you so much!
dr john campbell sir, the more i hear your treasured feedback, the more they attract me and give boost to my knowledge, i wish you a very happy and healthy new year. 10/01/2022
I really understand better when I see it visually and animated but I don't need all that because ur explanation and points u mention are elaborate enough. Thank you very much for your time and effort sir and may God bless you ❤️❤️❤️
i was having such a hard time understanding this and you just made it so easy, thankyou so much. god bless you and your family. am completely hooked to your videos now
I am from Bangladesh i watch your videos which you lecture in cardio vascular system i just love that then i come here in respiratory system. Long live sir.
Im just thinking out loud here: when there is more oxygen going in than out, and more carbon going out than in through the lungs, where do we make up that difference? Since, especially in adult life, we are in a quite stable state chemically. Is the extra oxygen converted to water and exits as sweat and urine? And the loss of carbon compensated through the intake of carbon rich foods? What other pathways are there? How would, theoretically, breatharians deal with this differnce in chemical exchange through the lungs, thinking as they don't take in carbon through food? And where does the extra hydrogen come from, in either breatharians or people with a food diet? Also, you come across as very patient in your teaching even though there are no "live" students, very impressice, great teaching!
Dr john Campbell sir you are real master of your subject difficult points you clarify in such a simple way any one can understand thanks good wishes 12/05/2021
i heartly say you that very you hav very incredable knowledge of human body and that you explain in very simple way . i like your video . thank you....
You inadvertently interchanged the %age of constituents of exhaled air, though we get what you mean. It may be too much work to edit the video and splice in a correction graphics flipping the %ages. Or write a correction note in the Desc. As usual, your content and teaching is excellent. Thank you.
It's a massive and massive thinking by the nature and a brilliant explanation by you, sir. Still i have a doubt , inhale level is 21percent, in a single bronchioles. What is total percentage of inhale, whole bronchioles in both lungs?
I hope you're well sir ...🙏 I regret that my money is being wasted in institutions and teachers who can't explain the topics well as you explain i got the concepts in one day which they were trying to teach me from years . I'm very much grateful to you sir, May all your wishes come true 🙏❤️ Love the way you teach the topics in easiest way I also shared many of your vdeos of several topics to my friends so that they can also understand the topics well
RE: COVID-19 Dr. Campbell: I'm a former asthma sufferer; I had an experience with smoking pot that surprised me, because generally smoke and asthma don't mix well. The vascular diluting effect of something in pot (the reason your eyes get bloodshot) actually helped me breath better (I think). I was about 18 at the time, some 45 years ago! Maybe someone can extrapolate a relief for CoVid-19 lung debilitation effect from this information. e.g. can oxygenation be improved via dilation of the lungs alveoli
Also what the blood has in it as circulating back to the heart and lungs. Either picked up inhaling, or reactive while in blood circulating . It effects heart at times, so is it acting like rheumatic heart? I'm thinking once remembered, in Kentucky somewhere around 1990 ish there was a strep that also caused death, a fear that did get contained rather quickly. No details other than death rapidly. Thanks for the update. The fluid being created in the aveoli seems to stem from return flow after use of oxygen. Is it considered regular or is there a difference in oxygen that the body uses? Since muscular pains and virus tend to effect total body, what's different during use while infected than when not. Is the carbon dioxide also more than a norm or is that different? I'm looking at where in the body does the process start. It seems at lungs, however incubation says a bit different when side effects are known. As compared to sepsis, can be understood in the blood, so instead the kidney or infected area, the exchange seems to redistribute at lungs mostly. Maybe a wrong thought, but seems likely. Thanks again, very informative.
I love you so much Dr Campbell, you've been a blessing to me, you make science so simple and fun. You are a real educator. God bless you and your family. Long live Dr. Campbell

It's a massive and massive thinking by the nature and a brilliant explanation by you, sir. Still i have a doubt , inhale level is 21percent, in a single bronchioles. What is total percentage of inhale, whole bronchioles in both lungs?
Normal tidal volume of air at rest is about 500mls. Inhaled air is about 21% oxygen and exhaled air is about 16% oxygen.
You are born a helper
I hope you're well sir ...🙏 I regret that my money is being wasted in institutions and teachers who can't explain the topics well as you explain i got the concepts in one day which they were trying to teach me from years .
