At 39:00, the discussion about if something can be OP in a single player game is an interesting one. Generally, something is a problem if it reduces the amount of interesting decisions you need to make. If there's one option that becomes the objectively correct option, or makes further decisions irrelevant, then it can be a reductive option in the game. While you can opt not to use something you don't enjoy, it comes across as offloading the game design decisions onto the player, and without a way to remove it from appearing it turns it into a dead draw whenever you see it.
Yes. I used to be in the "single player, so derp off" camp, but Retromation convinced me of basically your exact argument. Making players balance the game themselves is just bad design at the end of the day. It's fine sometimes, but it just doesn't feel good.

I'm glad I found your videos. I have around a hundred hours or so, and overall doing better than when I first started. I partly wish there was a cool learning tool for getting better at wand building. When I was in high school, I'd often do chess puzzles to help decide "oh I'm in this situation? here's the possible solutions to getting out." I've gotten the hang of wand building, but I know I haven't been optimizing. I know certain builds, but overall it can be difficult getting that set up every single game. I've gotten to the point that I'm doing well early game, but overall just missing a certain something towards the end of my run. I've at least finished one ending so far though.
I remember the first video of yours I've watched had the chat audio interactions enabled, and I found it really added to the experience. Even when they'd spam the weeb voiceline, your reaction always made it a fun occurrence that made the video more enjoyable. Perhaps consider doing one video with them on, and see how it goes!

Could you post some more regular runs? I love that you post cool or notable runs but I feel like it would be nice to have an archive of some of your stream runs, just to see your decision making on regular runs. I would go on twitch but I don’t typically use twitch very often
@abumy4 it runs well enough, and the extra buttons on the back of the deck work great for potion keybinds. I stressed tested the game and the Deck using spell lab a while ago, and the worst it did was 27 minutes to complete a very intensive spell payload (the details of which escape me).
Honestly, I doubt they'd patch this out. It's comparably very easy to shift your shields and such into other colors. Being able to do this with all the extra effort needed seems like a very Noita feature.
Honestly man youre over thinking the youtube thing. Just post cool runs and people will watch and the channel will grow. Posting 1 vid a month will be hard to catch any momentum, then yes you need the more informative content.

Noita is one of those games that I've always been interested in, but I've been reluctant to play it because it seems like you'd need to have the wiki open in a 2nd monitor just to understand what you're doing.
It can seem that way watching a streamer with 2k hours invested, but it's really a game where you can tailor your own investment. At it's most basic, it's just a Rogue-like where u go down. You can do that without ever opening the browser or knowing any secrets or exploits. It only took me 1200 attempts to win ;) On the other hand, it has a basically infinite difficulty ceiling, cryptic hidden quests, and exploitable mechanics for people who want to play this game for the rest of their life. Whichever side you find yourself on... It's like, $20
maybe if you're retarded and can't tell left from right you don't need a wiki to beat the game you only need a wiki to 100% the game because the devs made it basically impossible to discover every secret by yourself but at that point you would have a hundred wins
It's very fun to just walk around and discover things. I would say, more fun WITHOUT the wiki. I was playing early access and remember watching Dunk get his first win, when I was giving wand tips in chat... Now I havent played in like 3 years and I'm pretty lost on a bunch of the spells and solutions to secrets, so Im having fun just jumping back in all over again. Its more a DIY adventure than you think, but before you realize that, there are a bunch of epic wands, weird places, and funny deaths.

The ghost that shoots your shot, I think angry ghost, how is it playable because I ruined one whole run with picking it up because if you use ur TP wand it just shoots TP shots sometimes and its so awful to travel to other worlds and do stuff because you constantly tp forth and back kinda. So my question, am I missing something or is it rly only good for short high dmg runs which will end anyways, or can you like avoid this issue with a better tp wand? Edit: So if I use a short TP within a trigger it wont tp me with the ghost? But wouldnt my Tp be kinda weird then because the TP shot comes out of the trigger and its not handy? Maybe with a "no projectile lifetime" thingy but yeah idk

The early game is one of the hardest parts in all of Noita. If you can learn to survive that then the rest of the game will seem much easier. Don’t give up!
That’s the main design core of a roguelike. The only thing you keep is the knowledge you’ve gained. It keeps each run fresh and allows them to be different
There are only a few things that persist between runs, and they're all considered secrets if I recall. Other than that it's just stats, achievements, and challenging yourself. After awhile, simply running downstairs and slapping the boss can literally be done in less than 1 minute lol. Even less than 15 seconds technically.
Twitch doesn't let partners just reupload full unedited vods to other websites, i think. He talked about it in another video. Spent a couple minutes explaining how hed edit it down to not get in trouble.
I love it when Twitch chat talks about we refined RUclips peeps. And Chase, don't listen to all the people complaining about your streaming times. For Australia, it's perfect.

You need to reroll 39 machines if i remember correctly and its fine if you forget to drop it, just try not to, cause u'll have to travel to more pws potentially

I hate this game im on my 6th parallel world cuz i didnt drop the machine 3 time and the game crashed on jungle and after i reboot the game, for some flippin reason, im back at the original map where im at hell shop then lost all my 5hr progress...i tried to do the save00 backup but its too late...continue the journey then T_T

I believe the trigger spell cancels all of your wand related perk effects, like homing etc.
