It’s a shame they didn’t release this everywhere, it looks so good, though the item get sound is not better than the original in my opinion, it sounds more dull rather than triumphant or a sound that feels like you accomplish something.
I thought this was a fan made game, but it turns out it is BS Zelda only released in Japan. There were some super fans though who would probably recreate this officially and many other games with remastered versions. I would have liked to play the third quest though even not ever having played the second quest.
This game was never released on a cartridge. You needed to have a peripheral called Satellaview (only released in Japan), which connected the Super Famicom to a satellite network, you connected a special cartridge called BS-X where you could download music, newspapers and mini games on it. This zelda was one of the games you could download, you downloaded it and had a timer with a set time for you to play, when the time ended the game froze, and you needed to wait until next week to gain more time and continue playing.
Maybe, hopefully they'll release this in some way for the 40th anniversary? I like how you how some of the gameplay was changed, such as moving sideways on the stepladder and the boomerang doing damage.
This was on the SNES! It was broadcast to folks in Japan who had the rare Sattelaview peripheral that basically allowed companies to beam games to their systems. pretty crazy tech for the time!
So to sum it up, its officially a non-released Zelda tittle. Its official, but never released in America. Its basically TLoZ for the NES with SNES graphics.
If , let's say I already beat loz both quests. Is their any reason to get this game lol. Now, imo the second quest of the original is way different than the first and therefore good. Is this a 3rd quest also, in that same way?
But this is not the original game, it's the BS with some changes. According to the programmer who made the changes; "The Classic Edition is a project by me, Con, which turns BS Zelda into a "real" Legend of Zelda. You will play with classic characters, Link and Zelda, have Triforce Symbols instead of crosses and... play without the BS-X Timer! I called this project "The Legend of Zelda - Third Quest", because it can be regarded as a third quest to LoZ, Nes without any canon problems."
@@LongnPlay BS Zelda is official, this is a hack of that. Come on man, you literally linked to the homepage of the hack in another comment. How can you possibly think it's official?
There isn't much to criticize here. I mean, this game looks amazing. It is exceptionally well done. However, there is one thing that consistently bothered me: the sound effect played when hitting most enemies, like Zoras and Octoroks, sounds like someone in an adult film swallowing a load. That sound made me cringe every time I heard it.
Zelda 35th anniversary would've been a good time to re release this for everyone
Unfortunately both Nintendo and St. GIGA lost the Source Code...

I was playing this & got confused in a few parts. Thankful that this video exists.
You did forget to go back for the master sword tho!
God. That music takes me back. I'm sick. Maybe I'll throw OG Zelda on.
Damn! Had no idea this existed. That enhanced dungeon magic is amazing, very Phantom of the Opera-y.
man what a pleasant OST
What I don't understand is...... Who goes in the woods on an adventure and only brings a shield?
Lmao!
Someone who doesn't have a sword?

Wow, this is RAD!
This is BS! - no, not bull shit. I mean Broadcast Satellite. But with some graphical changes. Very nice though.
Why doesn't Nintendo put stuff like this on the switch
¿ Where did you leave the download link Friend of the game ?🤔🤔👈🏻
I'm so in love with the dungeon music on this. ❤️ so is this on SNES?

@Matthew Cox Definitely going to try and get it.
Hard to believe this is official. It looks and plays so much like neutopia on the turbogafx 16
It's not exactly official. This is a ROM hack of BS Zelda.
The Neutopia games were so good
So where can we download from? Anyone have any good leads on roms for nostalgia on android
Where can I find this?

Es como el primer Zelda de NES mejorado.... Nunca lo había visto
The HD Remaster (NESHD) is much better IMHO.
Isn't this the one Mike Matei played and it ended up crashing in the last dungeon?
Was this a hack version of this game??
it's not hack, it's official.
@@LongnPlay Very nice.... Didn't knew that they reimaged this... look great.
was only released for download in Japan for the Super Famicom Satellaview peripheral.
