Without know the true story line, I gotta say having America be this anchor of a character feels so beautiful. All the dolls were so perfectly cast, and I can’t wait to feel all the emotions that I know I’m going to be hit with.

The Barbie movie is the encounter of having fun and making history. It’s really moving how the childlike creativity met the adulthood possibilities because it encapsulates perfectly what it was like to play with barbies. Greta is a genius and the cast is too. I loved this movie, it’s so perfect

I just know this is going to be one of those movies that I watch in theaters multiple times with different people, and also sometimes just...by myself. I'm going to laugh, cry, smile probably through most of it if not all of it, buy a ticket, walk back in to do it again. Greta Gerwig is everything. My favorite filmmaker.

There is so much love and passion for this movie/production…I am so happy to be in my 30’s, still a doll collector and despite being a 5ft chubby Filipina girl, I’ve always loved and identified with Barbie - even bought a dress similar to what she wears, with the seashell necklace. So so so excited for this.

I just love that Greta is literally her character from Frances Ha in real life. Her and Noah just made a movie about her and starring her, and i find it to be one of the most relatable movie characters I've ever seen.

I loved the Barbie movie! Margot was perfect as Barbie and Ryan stole the show as Ken. Michael Cera was also awesome as Allan and I thought America did a wonderful job as Gloria especially with her monologue. This cast is truly great and I really appreciate how much thought and effort Greta put into making this movie. 😊
America Ferrera was so great in the movie. Her performance is worthy of getting her on another great blockbuster, and the sky has no limits.
America Ferrera gives a lot of clues about her character; that she flips, sides with Barbie and returns with them to Barbieland. Cool!
I loved Barbie! Went with a bunch of girl friends and we all wore pink and got our Barbie on. It was great seeing all the generations dressed in pink at the movie.

This cast is so perfect I can’t wait to watch this movie.

i’d only want a second if greta wanted a second. her being the director and having such love put into this film makes it/is going to make it what it is.. the interview where she goes over her inspirations/references says SO much.
I think having America on this cast is HUGE! She was in another coming of age movie, sisterhood of the traveling pants, and she was the voice of reason for that movie series. I love her

The funny thing about this is in Issa’s web series the misadventures of an awkward Black girl she talks about the burden of being expected to dance since she’s Black and the anxiety around dancing. So the fact that she’s put center stage in the dance number so ironic

I always hated Barbie. All my friends always wanted to play with these dolls and I’d rather play tag or hide and seek. I’m actually looking forward to seeing this movie though, it couldn’t possibly be as painful as playing with those dolls.

When Greta mentioned Oklahoma and singing in the rain this movie to me reminds me of the beach party movies with Frankie Avalon and Annette funnicello and also grease for the I’m just Ken song and when Ryan was in the real world they had the grease clip as well. Either way I like all those movies and of course I really do like this movie a lot. I even bought the I am Kenough hoodie from the Mattel site. I’ve wanted one since I’ve seen it in the movie. Glad they had them available for us to buy.
I'm glad I saw this twice, definitely took the time to appreciate all the detailed art in almost every frame.

I watched it this weekend and as we’re walking up I was telling my friends how I always took my old Barbie’s to Mexico for my cousin’s. I remember getting a marker and coloring Barbie’s hair, and the longer the hair the more I wanted to cut it.
I thought I was a seamstress and I would cut cloths and make clothes for Barbie..it never fit. I learned how to sow because I wanted to make a skirt for Barbie
Also who remembers taking off her head lol…let’s be real, I had a Cynthia 😂 Angelica’s doll
I saw Barbie opening weekend and again yesterday with more friends. I liked it even Better the second time through! It's a winner! P.S. One of those friends is a Minister and he was laughing through much of the movie and fully got the egalitarian values demonstrated in the story-line, when discussing afterwards in the parking lot.
