    Why does the filter have to be internal?
    Thanks for the video.

    I had a Dodge Cummins that someone cut the pickup strainer off for some unknown reason. The customer nearly went crazy trying to figure out why he had intermittent lack of power. I dropped the tank and found the plastic fuel tank was delaminating and a thin chunk of clear plastic was acting like a check valve and blocking fuel flow. The guy was so happy it was finally fixed.

    That’s a lot of debris in them there filters. Seems like there’s got to be a better way so that’s not an issue.
    Why not replace the whole sender instead of cleaning it? Cost?

    I have a 96 E350 7.3. The fuel filter light kept coming on and the engine would bog. Dropped the tank and found the tank delaminating. Replaced the tank and cleaned the pickup unit - filters. Problem solved. Why do the tanks delaminate? Should I proactively change the tank on my 12 F250 6.7? Thank you for the video.

    Wow i had this happen to me back in the day on one of my 7.3. I limped to a ford dealership and they told me the engine was dusted and needed a new engine. I told them to push it outside and i will come get it. My brother and i got it home and i found these filters myself. I put those filters in the dishwasher and put them back in it and drove it another 100,000 miles before i sold it.

    I’ve been watching your ccv videos and I had a question? Why couldn’t someone hypothetically leave the ccv box in place, unhook the plastic hose to the intake, put a extension on the hose and dump it down somewhere, then put a rubber cap on the intake fitting? Or am I missing something?

    • @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod
      @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod  4 месяца назад

      I mean, I guess you could. The only thing is that the box causes a restriction with flow

    Holy crapola that's a lot of sediment! No wonder the engine was falling on its face. It was starving for fuel. She'll be able to eat now.

    U can talk about this on the live… how do u fill up ur trucks? Do u ever use a fuel container, like a 5 gal jug, 1 gallon jug or a nurse tank? All this sediment comes from something. Like the jug filler neck with no cap or the nurse tank filler nozzle that is dirty.
    The fuel station nozzle is almost enclosed. Not to let dirt in
    A lot of people miss this step oof being clean!

    Is that algae? I’ve heard that it can grow in old diesel.
    Can adding fuel treatment help?
