i can't stand watching the Chinese donghua. the artstyle of the CGI is not to my liking. it looks like cut scenes from a video game and not an animated series. also, they don't use the character designs from the webtoon adaptations and it's off putting when you're used to these character designs. it's really a shame they use this artstyle and CGI to everything i like and everything i have no interest is made with traditional 2D animation.

I like Yang Yang but not sure how I feel about this trailer. They are making it seems like a light hearted coming of age fantasy show which is far from what I saw in the anime. In the anime, Han Li had to separate from his family and is trying to survive in the ruthless cultivation world where he could be killed by his master, fellow disciples or people he meet in the streets. It is world where only the strong survived and the weak get eaten. Hopefully the actual show is better.
so eager to watch this drama. a pure cultivation drama where main character focus on getting strong. i just hope they don't change story. i just want to watch a cultivation drama of this novel. one of my favourite cultivation novel

The novel is extremely long with a sequel that extends to a higher realm. Plus theres a lot of cultivation background that they are likely to skip through along with a lot of plots. Theres no way they can get through much imo. They will more than likely go through the 1st arc around his first immortal sect and end the series there by changing the story to encompass just that one part of the series. I have never seen them adapt an entire xianxia cultivation novel in its entirety nor completely faithful to the original. They change a lot. Which is fine as long as the story still ends up good and production is good.
@@LadyTyvreon Its in the name. Its based off of a novel called "A Mortal's Journey to Immortality". That implies xianxia. Its a xianxia cultivation story so he doesn't just start off as an immortal nor does he have some background in immortal cultivation initially.
I still doubt of Yang yang can portray the character of Han Li I watch many works of Yang yang fireworks from the heart, Love 020, the king avatar, and you are my glory but Han Li ( I already read the novel ) characters is complicated (example : Han Li was sly as fox he counter kill his enemy throught others means) it's really hard to act this characters but I can wait ❤❤❤
