Stop using composting bins or composting tumblers. Just put the material right in the garden and let nature compost it for you without any effort.

I like the cut and drop method. Basically that’s what I do. I’m getting too old to turn a pile of compost and it makes sense to leave it to decompose in the garden. That’s what trees in the forest do, they nourish themselves. Thank you for giving me permission to cut and drop, now I don’t feel so lazy.💚🙃 I’m always telling my husband to work smarter not harder💚🙃 you have beautiful gardens!💚🙃
2024 April in Colorado - great advise on composting… thanks.
works for me
No compost bins in a forest.... Now if I have mulch on the soil surface I will scrape it away(most of the time), and put my chopped material directly on the soil surface and cover it back up with the mulch, or if I have collected some household wastes, I will bury that in the garden. Haven't been given any logs yet so I have not done a HugelKultur yet.
glad I found you...no nonsense, experience and wise . thank you.
I have adopted this method as well. 🇨🇦
My favorite way, it makes sense.
I'll be doing this more, less work and good for the garden. Works for me
I think you just saved me a ton of money I never. Greatly appreciate your video and you ok you
I am going to try this as part of my no till experiment this year. Zone 5b Ontario Canada
sounds like a lazy idea for me so im gonna follow up w/what u did ,ty for the goodie idea
Good advice as per usual, right up my ally.
That's the I always did.
Great idea but it takes years for things to compost themselves here where I live, so all that matter just attracts slugs and bugs you don't want, unfortunately.
I newly working on a yard for the first time without any experience. Can I ask how to cut the dry leaves and small branches? Thank you🧡
I don't cut the leaves - leave them on the ground and worms do that for you.
