I would love to hear Uncle Roger critique this. 🤣🤣🤣
Yup
I came just to say that. I don’t know if he could handle it without having a stroke
Different people, different taste
@@furrycheetah Yes, I know. I just find Uncle Roger’s critique of anything “non-traditional” to be hilarious
Me too!
That’s got a be the best seasoned griddle I’ve seen in all the videos I’ve watched.
Thank you!
@@GrillThisSmokeThatwhat state are you in? I’m in MA and want to get one but it would be outside and worried about the effects of weather! I’m sure a hood and a cover would help but just concerned about it rusting. I want to get on soooo bad but…
@@swaggerjacker1482 i heard, after cooking on it each time, you are supposed to wipe a thin layer of oil all over it (while it is off and cooled down some) to protect it from rusting. Also putting the hood down and a cover dosn’t hurt.
@@zellafaeI bought one and will put it together this weekend. Talked to a few guys at work and they leave theirs out year round. It does have a hood and I will get the cloth cover over it as well. I would probably keep it in my shed during the winter. And yes on the oil after each use
That’s exactly my first thought when I started watching this video.
Thank you for having a quick video and not a long drawn out one that waste my time. Excellent video and very helpful!
My pleasure!
Love how organized you are. There is symmetry to everything on the grill. You have taken this cooking to an art form
Haha. Possibly a ting of OCD in there somewhere. Organization helps when cooking on a griddle though!
I make this alot of diffrent ways. Its really hard to mess it up is the part I like. Your flat top is always perfectly clean looking.
Thanks! I take good care of it!
i respect a man with a clean grill
Thanks Kevin.

That uses avocado oil
Looks great the preparation seems easy enough. I have never seen it prepared that way before. That was really cool. Everything was balanced out. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
Thanks Tracey!
how high are the burners?
Anything you make looks amazing bud🤙🏾
Thank you.
I didn’t know bacon up makes rice so flavorful, this was the first thing I made on my new black stone and I’m so far loving this grill. Do u have any suggestions for food on a blackstone other than burger steak chicken?
I have lots of videos! We make seafood too. Fish and shrimp.
@@GrillThisSmokeThatawesome!! I just made salmon and it’s so much fun to use the blackstone!!

hayiaa, only put spices on one sides *drops leg*
thank you 🤣🤣
It has a neutral taste unlike olive oil Jamie Oliver lol
We just had chicken, shrimp and steak fried rice on our Black Stone last night and I’m eating it right NOW !!! And it’s more delicious 😋 today than yesterday !!!💯
Nice! Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks delicious 😋
Thank you 😋
Before the bacon up, did there need to be layer of seasoning or anything?
I thought every single time you use, you have to do steps to preheat, season, spread oil, etc….
Or is that just first time
I ask: I’m waiting on my supplies to come today by 8pm and I have everything else already.
I want to season, and try something tonight and do it all the right way to preserve my gift from my wife for Father’s Day
Congrats on the new griddle. You really only intentionally season the griddle when you first get it. After that you do add a little bit of oil when cooking but don’t have to cover the entire surface until you clean up afterwards.
Looks good! Man I want a Blackstone so damn bad but I am waiting to fence in my back yard. One suggestion I do have here is to hit it with some green onion at the end to add a pop of color and some freshness. You can sauté the white part towards the end when you threw in the garlic and save the green part just to finish the rice - costs a buck and does add a little something to cut through that soy sauce and teriyaki. Thanks for sharing!
Didn’t ask
My husband just made this for lunch. Delicious and so easy to make.
That's great!
I can’t wait too but one of these and cook for my family great video man keep it up!
Thanks. I appreciate you.
Use white pepper, and vegetable oil. Those 2 things will give you a better restaurant flavor
Looks delicious! I’ve never tried the teriyaki sauce. I use soy sauce and a few sprinkles of fish sauce, and go light on the sesame oil. Some diced fried onions are good too.
Sounds great.
Sir I love making chicken fried rice especially street style and I'm speaking to you right now from Arkansas in the South can you please explain to me the butter I have never used butter I don't know how I feel about this LOL can you please tell me why the butter I have only used just oil.. that being said it does look amazing the way you made it..
Haha. I follow the way the chefs at the Japanese Hibachi do it. They always make “butter fly” and add garlic butter to the rice.
That Chicken got my stomach bubbling. Lord have mercy
Love the videos man! This looks really good.
What do you think about Camp Chef griddles?
I’ve never used one but I love their pellet smoker.
Good stuff man! My wife is Brazilian so we make a big batch of steak and rice at least once a week. Whatever’s left before we make another batch I’ll just make into steak fried rice. Try throwing a little hibachi yum-yum sauce on and mix that in right at the end, it’s unreal 🤌🏼
Nice!
Living in my car, usually hungry. I love watching you cook the food I can almost smell it looks so delicious. It hurts so much I wanna cry but you do such a great job I cannot stop watching. Next time I get a chance to eat at the mission I’ll pretend. 💋🤌 hope you enjoy and your family appreciates the love you’re serving them.
If you are near Atlanta I’ll cook a meal for you.
What temp do you cook on? Med to high?
Wait... there's a crunch in the rice?
This is great! Not sure why people are disagreeing in the comments. As a Chinese person living in HK fried rice is everything u can put in it 😋
FACTS! It's a dish that utilizes whatever you have left over or in the fridge! All these people going "WOW he actually used butter instead of oil, that's so wrong as an Asian would never do such a thing".... GTFO! 🤣
Thanks!
I made this tonight for the first time after watching a tik tok. It wasn’t bad but I came here to see if I can make it better! Thank you for the recipe ❤
I hope you enjoy! My more recent fried rice video is better. The one with my daughter and niece in it.
Im drooling over that flat stove cooker. Looks like fun for a people who like cooking.
It’s a great tool to add to an outdoor cooking space!
Tried it as my first dish on the Blackstone and it was delicious. Thanks
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Uncle Roger need to review this ASAP
Agreed
He is gonna flame him so much

How do you keep the griddle so clean? I use mine and clean it right after use each time but its never completely black lik that
It doesn’t have to be perfect but I have several videos showing how I clean it.
Uncle Roger enters the chat
Emotional damage!
More like left the chat
You made that fried rice look too easy! I'm motivated!
And how can I get me one of them outdoor grill/skillet???
Thanks! They sell them at all big box stores. Walmart, Lowes, HD, Tractor Supply, and Ace for sure.
I got a 17” Blackstone with the legs for $100. This was after summer, so if you want a deal, just wait. Oh at Walmart.
gotta love that salty flavor
Lmao I was looking for a comment like this 👌🏼
Awesome video. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
It looks good, you could try garlic butter fried rice.
What heat settings are you using for each?
Medium low to medium.
Where is the part where the Chicken fries the rice?
Underrated comment
He’s in the video…
How do you keep the rice from sticking to the griddle? Nothing else sticks, just rice. I keep my griddle clean and it’s pretty well seasoned but no matter what temp I have it at the rice starts to stick almost immediately. I love making hibachi on the blackstone but that makes it so difficult.
Are you using day old rice and putting down oil first?
@@GrillThisSmokeThat yes. And I spread it out on a baking sheet and put it in the fridge to allow it to dry out
@@05weasel Are you putting a good coat of oil before adding it to the griddle and starting with the griddle on medium low?
@@GrillThisSmokeThat maybe not enough oil. I’ll try more next time.
Tried it! It's really good!!! Thank you!!!
That’s great! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hears the thing with fried rice. While stationed in Korea in the Army they told me to set all the ingredients aside and yes day old fried rice. Yet buy a wok and an outdoor propane burner like for frying turkeys. This whole process should be VERY hot and quick. Seriously like 10 minutes. You don’t want the food just sitting there for a long time, gotta flash fry it.
I tried fried rice on the blackstone and it tasted good but it’s not authentic. And people tend to use too much soy sauce and and sauces. Yet that’s just nitpicking since I had good people showing me the way. Yet I use a wok and my outdoor propane burner. I’m sure this still tasted good so no hate 🙂
You are the OG
a chicken? really? ain't no way a chicken frie- nah, ain't no way
Where did you get that auto salt and pepper dispenser?
Here you go!
Butter is the worst of the offences
I’ve never seen a hibachi chef skip butter.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat American Hibachi chefs use butter because the griddles can’t reach the high of heat for real fried rice. True fried rice needs to be made with a outdoor high propane heat source like frying turkeys, vegetable oil, and a wok. This method is good for a griddle but it’s not “real fried rice” takes too long and not flash fried like it should be. Fried rice the griddle gets to clumpy and too moist.
Right! Look what I said below.
@@BuckyBarnesNC99% of people can't afford to make "real fried rice" then and thats ok because real fried rice was just a way to make use of leftover cooked rice at home.
No, using frozen vegetables is the worst !
Good looking American chicken fried rice.
Yeap, the butter... 🤮
@@curlyhairdudeify Racist!
Thanks!
You aren’t from the south I see.
Saute the garlic before putting anything else! This way your oil can spread that flavor. Oil, garlic, chicken with salt, veggies, rice, seasoning, spices and mix mix mix. In that order.
#friedrice #uncleroger
How much butter should we use?
Yes
Is there any other answer? Measure with your heart.
Uncle Roger needs to react to it
I can feel the reverberation of Uncle Roger putting his foot down from chair. Haiiiyyaaaahhh. Butter in fried rice?!?
day old rice good, buttah hayah, frozen wegtabul hayah, teriyaki sauce hayah, you make uncle ancestor cry.
@mrnigelng
You might consider looking at a few fried rice recipes for ingredients. Your cooking fats aren't traditional; normally only oil would be used in a wok. I'd suggest adding fresh sliced onion and garlic. The teriyaki sauce and sesame oil are good, but you might amp up the teriyaki with oyster sauce and Shaoxing wine.
Thanks. This definitely isn’t a traditional style.
BRO THAT CHICKEN IS STILL CLUCKIN’
Nah. Time lapse bruh.
That’s exactly how I imagined making it then clicked on your video 👍! Avocado oil nice. No man boobs estrogen from the soy either 😂
Lol
fried rice is really whatever you make it because you can do so much to it
...but haiyaaah, there's so much wrong to this. especially the butter.
Every hibachi chef I’ve ever seen has used butter in the fried rice…
Been in the restaurant industry for years. Hibachi chefs use butter. Japanese Chefs use butter. Gatekeep and cry more in your little bubble
Never seen anyone use butter besides this video it's always day old white rice bean sprouts eggs meat veggies at the end sesame oil soy sauce and oyster sauce if you like plus Turmeric to make it yellow if you like the rice like that
This looks great. Would scrap the big chunk of butter though
Looking at you having first bite.🤤
So good
these grills are great for making a mess without making a mess! In for one!
Yep!
Can this be done on something other than a blackstone
Of course. You could do it in pans on the stove.
I always go buy a tub of yum yum sauce from my local Asian restaurant to top it off. Good stuff.
Nice idea!
Where did you get the utensil holder for cookware on side of blackstone?
Here you go! amzn.to/3UT7F4h
Looks amazing but I think I would scramble the eggs separately from the rice so you get more instead of a clump of egg
There are definitely more ways to do it!
What can I use instead of bacon up?
Any cooking oil will do.
Gotta try velveting the chicken. Works best starting with almost frozen chicken breast in order to slice thin.
I’ve seen that method too. Works great on a wok.
What's the thing holding the spatulas
It’s called a griddle tool holder. Here is a link: amzn.to/44VjNXB

Damn i got a black stone at my ppls crib & they barely use it , but now dat ik you can Japanese food on it I’m start using it more often
To keep everything juicy, work in a little baking soda to the chicken before cooking
I’ve heard that. Velveting, right?
Little bit of crunch from the rice?
I bet that would be great topped with some cilantro onions and diced jalapeno
That sounds great too!
@@GrillThisSmokeThat It already looks great though brother

Well done sir!
Thanks!
What is the name of that salt and pepper mill?!?!
Here is a link: amzn.to/3oNB3xg
Highly missed opportunity for some nice peppers in there and id have added some onion, but fried rice is fried rice, you put what you like
Next time!
I could hear Uncle Rogers voice the moment he added teriyaki sauce. 😅😅😅
😂😂
bacon grease, butter and an electric pepper mill?
Nailed it.
what tipe of rice you use?
Mahatma Jasmine Rice!
Dude FNAF glitched after the first bite 😂
I like it! Just got my Blackstone and can’t wait to use it. The only thing I would do differently is use oyster sauce in lieu of the teriyaki sauce but not a lot, maybe two or thee tablespoons.
Thanks.
Whats your heat setting on?
Medium low usually.
Where can I find the spatula holder
Look in the griddle section here: www.amazon.com/shop/tightwaddiy
I can almost smell & taste it 😂❤
why not add MSG? it makes the food more appetizing and more delicious!
I love the efficiency!

Nice
Oil then garlic and onion first, then peas carrot, corn
No matter how much soy sauce you add that fried rice is as white as fresh snow
