Yes he is a baritone, that's his real voice, his most comfortable range. Its just that since he is with KPOP which requires tenor Bieber like tone, so he always need to sing in his upper register like in Dynamite, Permission etc, we barely hear his low notes. I'm a sucker of low register, I love the soul sound of it, thats why V is my bias in BTS.
