  • This might be the last challenge for some time, as I don't think I can top this one. Today's episode is a score trial focusing on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum port of Taito's classic "Miami Vice"-inspired arcade hit, "Chase HQ". This is the 128K single-load version, which loads in all five (5) stages into memory at once, in contrast to the 48K machines, which are a multiload (each stage or section is loaded separately). Looks like the extra 80K of RAM and 3-channel AY sound chip really paid off in this port - well done, Ocean Software. :)
Want to try and beat my score and/or time? The rules are simple:
    1. Upload gameplay footage of your playthrough on your desired platform with your time elapsed and/or highest score, depending on the type of challenge (time trial, score trial or dual trial).
    2. Mention which system you are playing the game on in your video title.
    3. Mention if it's either a score trial (get the highest possible score), time trial (beat the game in as little time as possible) or a dual trial (both at the same time).
    4. Try to beat my score and/or time.
    5. Continuing is allowed as long as it does not affect gameplay negatively (score reset, time penalty, etc.), otherwise the challenge ends at that point.
    6. In games where each stage is scored and/or timed separately instead of a single cumulative score/time, each record is included as part of the challenge and the final score/time will be added at the end.
    7. In games which loop infinitely until a "game over" situation occurs, only the first run will be counted as part of the overall score and/or time.
    Good luck! :)
