- Basically sport presents Rugby. in it full seriousness and completely unbiased, informative, descriptive, sport-lovingly affectionate tone towards these giants of men, fighting or more so trying to get a ball from one end to the other. If any jokes comes off as bad, I do not apologize and I believe given my extensive research of this sport, that if you look close enough you begin to see things in sport, that you would not have wanted to see.
Rugby a sport from the lands down under, yet originated in the land above the under, yes come all and come scrum or something idk, I reached the 600 number outta 5k which means the you-tube-in algorithm shall reward me for my incessant ramblings as is declared by the lords in shiny gaming chairs above us. if you are still reading this plz stop yourself.

Of all your video clips, I saw 5 which I specifically remember being red card offenses. I know you were looking for the most brutal clips, but there are plenty of good clips that aren't literal assault or involved neck damage
As someone who has played the sport for years, I've literally never once been flipped midair and landed on my neck or been clothesline tackled. Showing such egregiously illegal play makes the game seem way more unnecessarily brutal than it really is
Overall good video, just had to say that. It's one of my biggest peeves
Agree I did look for those types of clips, since it illustrates just how hardcore people who play this sport actually are.
Regular people watching clips like that would also see how brutal and durable players are + teammates actually coming to each others support.
@@basicallysport I once dislocated my finger and didn't tell anyone because I was worried the physio would make me leave the game. I played the rest of the game which was about 30 more mins. My finger doubled in circumference by the end from the swelling lol
@@tsherwood2112 That is my point, literally just walk it off and keep going, no need for stretchers to carry people out in that sport unlike soccer.
@@basicallysport I watch a lot of soccer, but I do laugh at some of the "injuries" lol

I read this somewhere, probably written back in the day when RU was 100% amateur and played mostly in private schools, universities and various small clubs. Sort of still rings true today. World cup finals primarily, but I enjoy watching it together with an Irish friend from time to time...
( Mostly because of the announcers accents )
