We deliberately avoided tourist areas like Patong etc. and stayed mostly in tourist-free places. There was a deserted beach at the time called Laem Ka Beach. It was really beautiful. It seems there is a lot more to do in bangkok so im hoping i made a great choice staying for a month. A little nervous but i really enjoyed bangkok even though during the day it wasnt that exciting. Most of the action happens at Patong, in Bangla Rd, watch out for all of the scams, I never drink from a glass, always ask for bottles, if you are going to have girls going back to your hotel, make sure the one you are booking into allow it, or dont charge, you are going at the best time, xmas and New Year is also great fun there.

I'd like to get more of your perspective. I'm looking for a place to stay long-term. I don't need a "party" scene, but I want lot of variety. Patong is great for convenience and variety, but I was so tired of getting harassed by every massage girl, taxi driver, tattoo shop, tailor, etc... I feel like Patong is ONLY for partying, nothing else. Phuket Town is nice. It has everything I would want, but no beach, and everything is spread out; not as convenient. Rawai was dead; I was there for about 10 days and could barely find a restaurant open after 9pm. I just want a quiet place that still has a lot of restaurant options (for cheap, simple foods), and some night markets. I have not spent any time in Karon or Kata; am I going to get harassed not the streets there as much as in Patong? What do you think based on my opinions? Thanks.
We stayed in Kata for 3 weeks. Didn't get bothered at all. The bombardment in Patong is why I never go there, except when I go to Jungceylon. So yes. I didn't have any such problems in Kata. And I'm pretty European-looking, so if that helps you decide, I am glad I could be of assistance.
1:45 The pool is wonderful. Problem is they treat the pool area like its a damn night club. They will blast god awful club style music so loud it will make your ears bleed. Not good if u just want to read a book and relax or just play on your phone.
why you don't speak north phuket like bangtao, surin ou activities around laguna ? i live between ao nang and krabi town and he take only 15 minutes to travel from ao nang to krabi not 40 minutes.
Tooo many building... This is not look like place for holidays... We run from towns and buildings... to make holidays in towns and buildings.... and big stress... No thank you. We need wild and quiet places.

Not once did he say places with more people and places with buildings are better. Each place is different and not everyone is looking for the same thing. So use some common sense and stop being so dumb

You have to go to a port and catch the boat. The ferry takes 2 hours the speed boat about an hour

Sawasadee Resort $40 a night not a chance in 2024, put a 1 in front of that minimum.
Yeah that was back in 2022. I think this video helped make that place even more popular
