Btw, putting your vehicle on 4WD improves your traction, so the ride will be less bumpy because the vehicle won't lurch as often when you're going slow during a really bumpy section. At least, that's my experience with a high horsepower vehicle. The engine wants to go(!), so 4WD puts the power onto the ground where the tires are in contact.
