The button the steering wheel is still capacitive but whit haptic feedback. That's my understanding of it.

So yes still has a capacitive aspect but on the Model 3 refresh the panel the button is on does move like a button whereas the Model S I drove the day before that panel does not move BUT did have a vibration (haptic) feedback much like a MacBook mousepad.

Just goes to show how no one seems to be able to question anything when it involves Tesla.
E.G.: the center screen for the back where you can play games on. Care to explain how convenient it would be for ANYONE to be hunched forward to peer at a rather small screen while trying to touch control on a screen while the car is driving ? Nevermind that kids just don't have the reach to be able to touch it?
So another car for bro' s with more money then sense who don't care that their car will depreciate by about 50% in a years time.
Still no stalks to activate the blinkers
Still no display in front of the driver but still forcing him/her to constantly having to peer down and to the side
Putting magnets instead of latches is cheaper
Putting cloth instead of wood is cheaper
But sure, think that it makes it more premium and justifies being that expensive.
And I get so tired about people going on about how fast a car is or how quickly it can go from to 60
WHO the EFF cares? Some of us use a car to go from A to B and aren't macho's with a kids mindset that think everything is about dragracing or giving your kids in the backseats whiplash when driving them to school.

I appreciate your long and thought out thoughts on the new model 3!
I do agree they “cheaped” out on some aspects like removing wood (which I miss), among other aspects such as the removal of fog lights which is disappointing.
I will also say there are bright spots and after driving and living with both gas and electric cars for years, I love the sound of my V8 but for A-B I consistently reach for the Tesla for the convenience and comfort features.
I would say things such as the rear screen are a “nice to have” when compared to cars in the class that don’t have that (BMW 3-series, MB C-Class, Audi A4, etc). Those cars offer more luxury hands down however Tesla is catching up in some aspects. Still lacking in others. Also, most cars are not assets and will in most cases lose value at various rates.
Again, thank you so much for your thoughts and I appreciate you taking the time to articulate them, and hope to see your thoughts on future videos!
