I have not commented in a bit because I have been binging Why Georgia, Somewhere, and the Maria/Somewhere medley on your Spotify. Great stuff as always Tim! You are a musical idol to so many. Certainly to me.
A while ago I commented on your Never Walk Alone upload speaking about vocal troubles I was going through at the time. You had recommended me go to an ENT(Which was definitely the most logical thing to do haha). Only reason I am bringing this back up is that it would feel sour not giving you an update.
So… Update: There is not a single specialist in this world who even have a decent guess of what problem I have. The problem being severe tightness in my throat and occasionally in my chest area. Breathing is often a chore and certainly way harder than it used to be. This tightness can cause pain as well, which it usually does. Singing is still my beloved passion but this can make it feel like a chore. These problems are not in and out either, they are CONSTANT. The second I wake up, to the second I go to sleep. I am still actively everyday trying to find out my problem but I am afraid it is going to take a while longer(Which really does suck because I have been going through this everyday for over a year now).
I think that covers all the important stuff. I’ll update you if anything good comes up. Thanks for your help as always Tim, and thank you more for sharing your immense talent with the world. And to anyone else who may read this, take care of your voices!
Edit: I forgot to mention the OVERTONES. They are always present of course, but sounded superbly good here.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm so sorry you are having these issues. I highly recommend Dr. Robert Sataloff in Philadelphia. He normally orders all types of tests to get to the bottom of things. I'm not sure where you live, but I would recommend seeing him if you want a chance to get to the bottom of it. Thanks again for the kind words.
